When are you gonna take it to the strip?
It's been to the track 3 times. Last time the best pass was 12.39@112mph. I was having issues with a newest E30 tune at the time, and reverted back to another version.

I will try to go on new years if they are open. They normally have a Hangoverfest, but the newer owners seem to cancel the track at the slightest inconvenience possible, lol.

I probably won't go 11's at the track, with me havong to wait in the staging lines, heat soaking, but I would guess it might have a 12.1-12.2 in it pretty easily.

So I finally ran in the 11s in QuikRik! All it took was very cold temps, and basically the perfect 0-60, even though the 60' was only 2.02.

I don't know why it shows such a negative slope, as I do a lot of my runs here, and they are usually -.2x to -.4x. I don't pay too much mind to that though, as at the drag strip I've seen a discrepancy of .6x run to run...

Anyway, just to do a complete mod list to show what this took to accomplish, it's as follows:

Factory unopened engine and transmission (41,000 miles, tuned since 1,000 miles)
2021 Lincoln Corsair 2.3T turbocharger.
Rev9 Focus RS Intercooler.
My own 3" Downpipe.
My own 3" full exhaust with Vibrant components.
Still on my crappy 3" cone filter intake (warm air intake).
Walbro 525 pump(I don't believe this is needed. My injectors are maxed, but HP pump still holds 3600psi)
AEM version 1 water/meth kit, halfway tuned (14.75° max timing)
Bronco Sport factory wheels with factory ProContacts.
And lastly, weight reduction(seats, tailgate, spare)

Thanks for all the support from members here, my good buddy Nolan(I still didn't fold the mirrors in...), and Ivan Gonzalez! It's been great to work with him and battle against him on making mavericks a fun, fast platform!

This is the end all for my truckette, as my original goal was a measly 12.90! Now Ivan and a few others can push that 10 second boundary!

Cheers 🍻

John

would love to see a dyno sheet for this truck, and do you prefer meth over ethanol mix e40,e50

I'm running E30 and am out of fuel. Without upgraded injectors and possible hpfp, my only option for extra fuel was WMI.

Also, I'll probably never dyno my truck. Those numbers don't mean anything to me. Doing a weight/trap speed calculator I should be just under 400whp.

It ran 14.78@92mph stock with this same warm air intake, which on factory tuning would make roughly 0.0 extra power, lol.
I have the same not power adder intake and an exhaust cutout no tune 5000 ft of altitude pathetic 16.5@82 sport, launched it harder than I ever have
Ford Maverick Finally hitting the 11 second goal [Maverick EcoBoost w/ upgraded turbo]. IMG20230731220949

Was it just the altitude or do I suck? I Might move my cutout before the 2nd cat instead of after when I get a Cobb and Corsair turbo... Rip bandimere speedway Colorado

I here you on bamdimere, I enjoy watchong pfi speed there!

Your altitude is 100% the reason it's in the 16's. If you were at sea level you would be pretty close to where I was.

There moving east, out in weld county, the farm land... America... No emissions in certain zip codes is what I'm getting at...

wouldn't the turbo make up for some of that altitude by keeping boost up? 2 seconds & 12mph seems to be a drastic drop for altitude. Hopefully OP wasn't using that 85 crap they sell there.

The turbo doesn't know what the atmospheric pressure is. So say at 5k altitude, the pressure is .85 bar, and lets assume the stock turbo runs 16psi. I can't remember what it actually runs stock.

So 1 Bar being 14.7 psi, at sea level, you get 14.7+ 16psi= 30.7psi. At 5k altitude, you get .85(14.7+16)=26.1psi. That is a very dramatic difference!

More than likely, the factory computer will only allow the factory engine to see so much boost, even if it is shooting for a targeted torque value. I see this all the time when TFLTruck does 1/4 mile runs with all the boosted vehicles. They still are dramatically slower than the same vehicle at sea level.

Hope that rant makes sense, lol.

a turbo can overcome low pressure from altitude only if it has the efficiency to still make full boost.

totally does, and the stock turbo actually hits 21 psi. I was shocked but it's true.

but it totally *cannot* hit 21 psi with any kind of efficiency at high altitude for exactly the reasons you said. besides not making the boost target, it'll also have much higher intake temp.

Bandimere  I wish I could have run my truck there before they shut down. I really wanted to take it to the Ford Fun Days.

The trans seems like the weak link in the system given that IIRC it's not rated even for the full torque the stock 2L can produce.

It's fun watching you push boundaries.
Well my Mustang GT A10 is holding over 900RWHP on the stock trans so far.

How much meth can you system take?
And where is your nozzle located?
If you can up the meth and it’s injected before your sensor heat soak should not be an issue. I ran alky with straight meth on my rs and truck. No amount of intercooler will ever get you the low ait like meth will. I was able to run back to back to back at private track days and never have the times drop from heat soak even on stock intercooler.

Now water does absorb more heat than meth. We know hay from the nasa sheets. But we also know it takes more time to do so. Hence why I prefer straight meth for ecoboost as we have very short amount of time for it to work.
