a few hours away......probably wish you could pick up at the factory and save that crazy expensive destination charge!
Exactly!! I would love to go down and view the factory, shake a few hands and then drive back in my Maverick, saving a bunch of $$$ on delivery charges!

If you have ever watched a video, the new vehicles are put nose to tail in several long parallel lines. Unless you want to back the newest out of the lanes to load onto the rail or truck, the first built will be the first out. OTOH, I have not been involved nor watched one in a while, so what I say may well be taken with a large grain of salt.

You can get a satellite view of the Hermosillo plant and what looks like the parking lots and railhead here.

The image is from a while back, but it looks like they set them out with a bit of room to maneuver. That would make sense because different rail cars have different final destinations and they need to get certain vehicles on each car.

Logically, if it's the EPA doing the test then the best date would need to come from them, and the best future date from them would be prefixed with... unless something happens... If it was 100% certain it would be done, so, the best this could mean is we expect...

Assuming anyone has had any customer service training, the date would be padded. Funny enough, I have seen dates passed though levels were each level added their padding so, this should hopefully be padded to allow for any possible predictable delays.

Any date is better than no date, but without some back story, a single date is just a date.
I was thinking along the same lines that this date has been padded for any, "oh sh!t we forgot about this or that". I'm hoping on the OKTB approval to come much sooner. :)

Regardless of all the "speculation" "need for proof" "must have x, y, z or it's clearly fake" and even regardless of the OKTB date, none of this matters because they will still arrive at your dealer when they do. I'm happy it will arrive 😁.

Just enjoy being in the excited group of people sharing the experience of a pre-production through delivery process during a once in a lifetime historical event that has changed ALL facets of life.

You will never forget this vehicle.

I think I might be the only one happy it’s taking a while. Using trade in value to pay off my current loan and apply to the Maverick, so longer wait means more payed off monthly and more down payment money😂

Our source at Ford has just confirmed the OKTB (ok-to-buy) date for the Maverick Hybrid is December 8, 2021, due to the emission certification delay. This info originates directly from Hermosillo plant.

It remains to be seen if this date holds, but we should be less than two months away from the first saleable hybrid Mavericks.

As for EPA MPG release for the Hybrid Maverick, the source isn't 100% certain, but thinks that it should also be released on the same date.
I received a build start date of 11/22, I've been out of the loop this past week or so, so does this OKTB change any of the information on the build date I received.

From everything I’ve seen, including my own hybrid, they are being built according to the dates on the trackers, the tracker just won’t tell you thats it’s built, but there are ways to confirm it if you want the peace of mind following your build date.

Mine had a 9/24 build date. Maybe I will get it sooner.
Mine was built the same week as well. I guess our machines can sit in the Mexico sun for 3 months together. I am so ready for that thing.

If this date holds true it just means that your truck will spent fewer days waiting in the desert than the trucks built before it.
