This is a pretty clearly hijacked thread. Can we get back to the OP's ask? Usually a bunch of people jump in with their locality and if carvana / CarMax / vroom offer above MSRP.

Anyone run their VIN through or willing to and give us feedback?

I tried myself but they don't like to give prices on an unbuilt 24' 😁

No the bubble is not over yet . seems like it will be a couple of years out . you might get msrp in rural areas but wouldn't count on it .

All businesses, whether large or small, will not price themselves out of their market. They'll pass some cost increases along if supply and demand is in their favor or if they can show some added value for the increase but will otherwise find offsets internally. I did that in my small business; it was hard enough competing with Amazon; I wasn't going to add to their competitive advantage by raising prices.
Someone once told me, "you can increase the price of an item, but make sure you never lower the quality/quantity."

I wish Ford would have taken that to heart when they started plucking some very wanted items off the 23 models -- and then raised the price on the 24s! Adds in$ult to injury!

I just sold my 22’ XL hybrid for 25k last night and it had 23k miles on it to carmax. No local dealers would touch that price and carvana and vroom were like 20-21k. Heading to pick up my 23’ on Tuesday.

I never bought my Tremor with the idea I would flip it for a profit.

However, my 23 Tremor XLT + lux and moonroof cost me $31,300. That same truck in 2024 is $38k MSRP.

That YoY price increase should insulate me pretty well as my Maverick ages. I'll never see a profit on it but as long as I take good care of it I expect it to maintain a pretty decent trade in and/or resale value.

But I don't plan on selling it anytime soon.
You're comparing what you paid to MSRP, not the same. The MSRP for the '23 was more than $31,300.

I got quotes for my 2022 Lariat AWD with 22k miles (MSRP: $34,300) in preparation for my 2023 Hybrid which should arrive in the next two weeks.

Vroom - $26,250
Carvana - $29,500
KBB - $29,900 A KBB dealer contacted me saying they would pay up to $1500 over KBB price
Carmax - Said they haven't seen enough similar vehicles to offer a price, I would need to bring it in person?? Nearest Carmax is a 2+ hours away, so I'm wondering if their price would be worth the drive.

Depends on location. I’m seeing more available in my area from abandoned orders and dealer stock orders but hybrids still have mark ups.

Low profit margin for dealers on custom orders with these especially when they have been taking forever to get built.
Plenty in the Baltimore/Harrisburg area, I assume from rejected orders. The markup is still there on the advertised price, but are they selling with a markup?

I ordered (again) on 9/13 and am scheduled for 11/13. Either I won the allocation lottery or the bubble is over...

If there is one thing we all can agree on is how Ford’s product planners misread the market and messed up the options and option packages for the Maverick from day One. Three model years later and they still can’t quite get it right.

My all time favorite bonehead move was adding cost (a new switch module) to the XL just to take away cruise control! The SIBL scarcity followed by abundance was another. And the Lux pack content dance continues to this day.

The purchase bubble may be over, but the product planning bubble heads live on!

What I paid is entirely irrelevant when it comes to determining the current market value for my Tremor.

It is only relevant in that I've got a larger gap between what I paid and what a new one costs - so for my personal situation I have about a $7k gap between what I paid and what a 2024 Tremor costs - which again has no impact on the current market value of my vehicle.

Some idiots are still willing to
pay ADM. Couple weeks ago I inquired on two mavericks but they told me they had 5k markup and they were sold by next day. Not sure if they got 5k markup or less. Last week I inquired at several dealers all were 3k-10k ADM but as far as I can tell those are still on their lots.

That's why the Maverick is made in Mexico. No UAW there. Expect more auto jobs to slowly move to anyplace the UAW does not exist. It's one way to keep costs down.
By that logic, Stellantis should have lowered prices on Jeeps when they moved the plant from ILL to Mexico, instead they raised the prices by a lot. Or the prices of Apple devices should be cheap because they are made in Chinese sweat shops. Corporations will charge whatever the market will bear and pocket the profits.

I’m in Houston. Consistently received the best offers from
Carmax. Dealer was willing to “match” the Carmax quote by offsetting the tax credit which was received at trade in.
Surprisingly Carvana is still around $32k for my ‘23’XLT. Hope to still get that when my ‘24 gets built next month. We’ll see.

There are two CarMax locations within driving distance of me, would their offer differ depending on which one I go to? One is in a larger city (Kansas City vs Springfield MO.)?

I had 4 dealer telling me they would beat carmax or the best offer I had and I went to each of them and not one of them could touch it. Lol, it is super easy to sell to carmax though!
