The one time that it happened was when my Mav was in the body shop for two weeks. It happened towards the end of second week of no start while awaiting for parts. So I answered no

My MY22 Maverick XLT Hybrid (that got sold to Carvana) did originally have about four deep sleep messages.

I just charged the 12V battery overnight.

I never had a DEAD battery just the FordPass App messages. I always was able to READY the Maverick and drive.

After I had TSB-2060 (Grabby Brake Issue) done the Deep Sleep issues went away.

I believe that TSB-2060 also updated the 12V battery charging software.

My MY23 Maverick XLT Hybrid has had no Deep Sleep issues over the month I have had it.

I have a 12 Volt/Temperature gauge plugged into the front 12V Power Socket and the 12 Volt battery voltage has always been between 12.4 and 12.9 volts when not being charged and shows 14.4 Volts when it is being charged.

2022. 26k miles. Drive almost every day but didn't have a problem on vacation when it sat for 4 days. Or on weekends when I don't use it. No messages on ford pass either. Guess I got a lucky one?

If you check out my other posts, you will see that I have been testing almost daily for the last two months. The issue is that the Maverick has an absolutely huge parasitic draw. If you have FordPass on and don't lock the truck, you will get around .1V drop every day (way, way higher than the industry norm). Turn everything off and lock the truck and this drops to about .05V each day. A full battery is about 12.58V. From everything I have seen, deep sleep pops up when the battery gets down to 11.8V. So in best-case scenario, someone can go a little over 2 weeks without driving.

To make matters worse, the Mavericks battery management system will NOT fully charge the 12V battery. For some reason it seems to be designed to only charge to about 12.4V. The only way to fully charge the battery is with an external trickle charger. This likely causes some level of sulfation so before long the most the battery will charge to is probably 12.3V-12.4V (or maybe even less). Because of that, your typical Maverick may go into Deep Sleep after only 3-4 days of sitting (as opposed to the 2 week best-case scenario).

The other thing to note for anyone checking battery voltatge is that it is VERY hard to do accurately on the Maverick. When you get in the Maverick, it seems like a dozen things all turn on. If you don't lock the door, many of these things stay on for a very long time (5+ minutes). If you do lock the door, it still takes ABOUT 3 MINUTES for everything to finally turn off (most things turn off after about 1 minute but there is something that does not turn off until about 3 minutes). If you measure the voltage during this time, it will give you a false voltage (likely lower than actual). I have also found the Maverick battery to maintain a huge surface charge (I wonder if there is a capacitor somewhere in the wiring that is holding a charge?). The 12.9V in the picture above is a fake surface charge and may take a few hours for this fake charge to go away. The maximum "real" charge for this battery is 12.58V per the battery specs (and even after trickle charging for 2-3 days I usually see 12.56v-12.57V which is close enough).

No, that should be normal. If you drive daily, you should be able to go about 1 week assuming you locked your doors but still have FordPass and tracking active. For folks that have everything on and don't lock their doors (so the truck "wakes up" frequently), should still go about 4 days in most cases. For those that do a 200+ mile drive one day (which should be enough to charge the battery to at least 12.4V) and then get the error the next day, it means their battery has gone bad or they have some sort of "stuck on" process (HV battery heater?).

The reason so many people report "issues" seems to be a combination of the battery being too small and the Maverick having 2x to 4x the "typical" car industry parasitic draw (plus the Maverick battery management system being programed to not fully charge the 12V battery for some reason).

Would be really, really nice if someone from Ford actually addressed any of these things :-/

So is locking the door via the handle sufficient or does it have to be done by the app or key fob?

Had this issue yesterday but I was installing exterior LEDS and had my doors open quite a bit. Second time it has happened, I still need to get ALL of the recall crap done and my headliner replaced. Probably need to stop by the dealer to arrange it, if it can happen while I am out of town that would be perfect.

How are you liking your Mach-E so far?
As a first time EV owner I really have no complaints. Fords first attempt at an EV is really well done. The tech is amazing and Fords BlueCruise is awesome when going on long trips.

I recently completed a 1,000 mile round trip from Peoria IL to Cleveland OH and hands down it was the most enjoyable trip I have ever taken. Did it take a little longer becasue EVs take longer to "fill up"? Yes it did.
Did I have any major issues at charging stations like youtubers and automotive journalist love to sensationalize? No I did not.

I was thinking the same, but I will see if Ford will remedy this situation and I won't have to shell out over $200. I have read on these forums that the replacement battery from Ford has the same issues. I will try out the battery from Ford and if it performs the same, I will be forced to buy this battery as a replacement.
I tried that route. Took it to a dealer and waited several hours for them to tell me the battery tested good.
When I asked why it kept going into deep sleep everyday they had no answer, just said I could bring it in for further scheduled testing.

I replaced it myself with the Duralast several months ago and it's been all good. Except when I had the wiring harness and emissions reprogramming recall done Monday, it went into deep sleep the next day.

I reset my BMS and so far so good.

All it means is that the truck is turning off circuits which drain power needlessly. That is a feature, not a bug.
For those of us who regularly drive the vehicle it should not be getting that condition in the first place. Deep sleep activities for low voltage and any charge level below 50%. No reason why a vehicle that is getting driven 5+ hours a week should have a low 12v battery.

I don't get messages, because I stopped using the Fordpass app 11 months ago, no need for it since I have remote start on the fob. Still gets into a low charge state, since other symptoms appear.

This poll jinxed me. MY22, one year old this week. 13k miles. Flawless until last night.

5 min after a 30minute drive, I get the sleep/battery save notice. *sigh*

Anything unusual in your usage? Maybe time for a new battery?

Did you have this volt meter plugged in to your other Maverick and if so did it ever indicate a low charge status?
