I have plans to make one of my own that also works with a regular hammock and mate it to this umbrella that I already own.

Pipeliners Cloud umbrellas. Not cheap but rated for 60mph winds for the 8ft and 40mph for the 10ft. Some are also flame resistant. Cool company. Welders who make stuff for welders, that the rest of us can enjoy.

If it holds 400lbs dynamic in the form of a trailer, 800lbs should be a safe limit for static weight.

Hitches have three measurements. Line pull, vertical load: (tongue weight) and gross trailer weight. As long as you don't exceed any of those ratings your fine. These should be printed on the hitch receiver some where.
I just installed a front hitch receiver on our E-450 motorhome for a cargo box. Line pull at 9000lbs, tongue weight at 500 lbs and trailer weight of 5000lbs.

Yeah but nobody is riding down the road in that hammock. Thats where static vs dynamic come in. Most vehicle mods can factor atleast 1.5 times the dynamic load for static camping.

If you have "overnight company" and diy an extension for several additional hammocks you could support hitch with the trucks scissor jack or two or more jack stands.
If your not on a tight budget this is on sale for $11,999.99 ( save 20% and get free shipping!)

A post on here from 2022 claims that the stock hitch is a Class 3.

Which usually is rated around 8K towing capacity and 800 Tongue weight (they usually just divide the towing rate by 10). I have seen some claim Class 3 is rated for 10K/1K. And some say as low as 6K/600. So 800 seems like a reasonable middle ground.

Yes, the Maverick with 4K tow package is only rated at 4k towing, but that is not a limitation of the hitch. It is the rest of the truck. Haha! So putting 500 or 600 or 800 pounds on the tongue is probably not going to be an issue. Other than squatting the rear of the truck.
