The number of Maverick owners who are doing stupid things like lifting their truck and changing the driveline angles past what the CV joints were designed for is pretty impressive. There are several good reasons why the Tremor has different halfshafts with its 1" lift. Except for people damaging the CV boots with rock hits, I'd bet that the owners who leave their vehicle unlifted have essentially no CV damage. People do not see this failure on the Escape with the same chassis and suspension components because they do not lift them. I'd like to see some numbers, and also how many of these lifted suspensions are getting warranty replacements when they should not be eligible. From my observations here, seems like CV axles go bad way too often compared to the other hybrid drive line components-
so you said blow it out your tool?Or was it because you couldn't come up with anyhing?

Ahhh, well that does make sense does it not? Thanx!! At any rate, no lift or oversize tires for my EgoBoost going forward as I have no logical reason for either one so not going to sweat it.No. The torque is mild and very carefully controlled. And yes, I've measured it. At least monitored what a computer says the torque is. I didn't put my hands on it.
That's not what this article means. They brought the electric motors of the drivetrain in house. The axles have the hyundai logo stamped on them, that's hardly in house. A Dana solid axle is a far cry from anything found on the Maverick anyway...Seemed to me the subject was Dana axles and differentials being used in several Ford models EXCEPT for hybrids, and also mentioned the electric motor-
If Ford isn't making the hybrid axles in house, then I wonder who's manufacturing what seems to be the weakest link in the hybrid drive line???
That's a parts locator sticker, look closer on the boots and clamps for where it REALLY comes fromI cut the wheel both ways and took a peek at my front end-
At 11k all 4 of my boots are dry...
I noticed a nice sticker on the shaft
