Well hopefully none of that will be required. My truck is due at the dealer in the next couple days. Doesn't help that my Salesman and sales manager from last year are gone.
That was part of my situation. Created some real problems. Make sure u keep in contact with the dealership and let them know ur Maverick is on the way, with vin# and find out who they assigned as ur new sales rep. Due to some complexities with my order and the saleman being gone, my Maverick never was assigned to me after it got to the dealer, therefore i was never contacted and it was entered into stock and sold to someone else. Good luck. Wishing the best for you

Ok folks, I got a call from the sales manager at Long Lewis Ford in Hoover Alabama. He was very apologetic and admitted that the dealer made some errors in handling my order. I will not type all of the things that created more complications in them processing my Maverick when it was delivered to them. One problem was my sales rep was no longer there, apparently my order was put in after they cut off orders last year and it was a replacement order for another that fwll through. There were other complicating factors that all sounded legit and possible. Despite those complicating factors, the dealership took full responsibility for their failure to contact me when my order was delivered. It was entered into stock and sold as i did not show up as the assigned party to that vehicle. The manager was very apologetic and offered me a similar Maverick with my fx4 and tow package, but with the luxury package upgrade and a different color. He offered it to me without charging me for the luxury package upgrade. Its cactus grey, i can live with it, but preferred my Carbonized grey. I appreciate them admitting fault and coming up with a solution. They made a great compromise by offering me a similar product and not charging me for the luxury package upgrade, to get me back closer to my original price. I feel like Long Lewis Ford in Hoover Alabama did their best to make this right and i am very relieved with the solution. I greatly appreciate all of the help that you guys and girls have provided in helping me get this situation resolved!

Glad they are trying to make right of an awful situation. Try and get it under msrp with free oil changes for 5 years. Your added stress must be compensated and a free luxury package is insufficient. Or take the deal and go home happy, what do I know?

That is good to hear that a good resolution came. Wonder how they have an extra one to offer...

Sounds like maybe a legitimate error. Their Google reviews are pretty good overall. Glad OP was taken care of.

I wonder that too. I'm sure it probably has a green window sticker. Be interesting to know that story.

Because your Maverick tells Ford it's stats in real time.

Thanks for the info, but not what I wanted to hear.

I was paranoid about this after hearing horror stories from others. I bought mine two weeks ago and had no problems though. From the day it was built to the day it was delivered i contacted the sales manger and my sales associate about twice a week. Sometimes I was just making up a reason to contact them. I had them send me tracking updated on vin view and kept in constant contact. I did this because I figured if I had a good relationship with them and they knew who i was they would know how important it was for me to get the truck. They called me the minute it was delivered to the lot and I drove off the lot the same day with it. I am sorry this happened to you but if you ever order a vehicle again make sure to be in constant contact with the dealership, at least once a week after the build. This is in no way your fault and scummy on the dealership, but the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I was that squeaky wheel to my dealership.
I have ordered 5 vehicles previously and never needed to make sure I had a better relationship then going in and ordering and coming back to pick it up when the told me it had arrived.

I look forward to things getting back to a more normal...

Just want to understand here -- they are offering you another truck and not charging you for the $2k luxury package, and that only gets you closer to your original price? I'm not understanding something or something doesn't seem right...

Hopefully they aren't caught in a chain reaction of giving the previous guy the next guy's Mav to make up for a screw up.:)

It was the same thing i ordered, different color, but with a luxury package, which i did not originally order on mine. I am essentially getting what i ordered at my price with a free luxury package upgrade, their effort to make up for their original error and get me in a Maverick now

So are you getting the truck for $2k under MSRP? I would absolutely say that's making an effort to make it right. But, if they charge a $10k markup but are only charging you $8k, then that's a different story...

Sorry for what happened to you. I hope the dealer gave you the extra profit they made on the sale of your order.

I already called the dealer, spoke with the new sales manager who will be handling the sale. I did tell him that I am going through with the purchase, and already have wheels & tires, and other accessories waiting for this truck. I confirmed with Ford that they will price match the price on the day of order, and confirmed my Farm bureau rebate availability. He said he will call me when it lands.

They do not have any Mavericks and just sold a 80 mile Tremor for $6,500 over sticker.

eh, you'll get used to the cactus grey, I've seen a few around, they're fine, they have a more refined look to them. It's too bad that you had to go thru this but you'll have it and I'm sure you'll enjoy many years with it.
