Hah! At least you finally know why you weren't at 02...
I'm glad that you are finally scheduled!
I ordered mine Sep of 22 and finally got it last month...
On 23 Jan, I ordered a tonneau cover, bedrug and husky floor liners. Got a great deal by direct messaging them on here. I got the tonneau cover and bed rug in about a week, but the floor liners said pending for a couple of weeks before I contacted them via chat. The said should be shipping...
I'm in the middle of a similar project, I just need to run the wiring more permanently under the bed.
I use the magnetic switch to turn off the lights when the bed is closed to keep from draining the battery if I forget to turn them off. I wasn't sure if the magnetic switch could handle the...
Each truck has it's own keyring with just a cylindrical pill container. House/office keys stay in my pocket so I never get locked out. Car key goes on things that I don't want to forget to take with me.
You can also get X-plan by joining the Mustang Club of America, but there is a waiting period after you join. X-plan doesn't save you much on a Maverick. You could probably save more with the Farm Bureau discount (which also has a waiting period...), or a student/military discount if that applies.
I haven't driven the dial shifter yet, but I'm baffled by all of these comments about how intuitive it is, you don't even have to look at it... I've driven a lot of different shifter styles, both manual and automatic and I've never had to look at the shifter to know what gear I'm shifting into...
And another thing...
The allocation system is not bad. It just wasn't developed with this situation in mind.
In the old days, more than 99% of people just went in and bought a car off of the lot. The number of allocations that your dealer had didn't really matter, because they always had...
Sorry, a rehash of much that was said above, but I had that on my chest for a while, with no place to put it.
Athough, I do blame the dealerships, because they are the ones that lobby for the laws.
The allocation system is designed to protect small dealers from large dealers in the same area ordering all of a particular vehicle so that the small dealer has nothing to sell. It is a constraint on the manufacturer, not something that they impose.
As was mentioned, Long-McArthur is one of...
When the 2005 Mustangs came out, my wife said, "I always get the new car's, maybe you should get another Mustang." I said, "Ok, but I'll get a stick." "Maybe we should get a hybrid Escape..."
We ended up waiting a few years and getting her another F-150...
I have ordered 5 vehicles previously and never needed to make sure I had a better relationship then going in and ordering and coming back to pick it up when the told me it had arrived.
I look forward to things getting back to a more normal...
Thanks for the info, but not what I wanted to hear.
It's hard to be a happy Luddite in a high tech world.
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
I stand corrected. It does not say that X-plan is more expensive.
But I also didn't see that it says that the $275 fee is included in the X-plan price, althogh others here have said that it is. I was probably incuding that and didn't remember what it actually said. Mea culpa.
Guess I'll see...
