Did I just get my allocation pulled out from under me?

Ok so i ordered in august the day the books opened on the 2025 mavericks.
I got an email stating that my vehicle was scheduled for a build date of Dec 9th.

I just got an email today saying congrats your vehicle is schedule for production with a prod date of Feb 10th.
the new email has a different orderID and VIN than my old email.

if i track the old vin and order it shows it in production. if i track the new vin and order it says scheduled for dec 10th.

Did the dealership just bump me to a different allocation so they could get a car in their dealership earlier? or did they change my VIN when my vehicle got pushed?

Did the emails come direct from Ford? Or were these emails from your dealership?

Either way, your dealer put in multiple orders using your email address. Whether that was intentional or not is the question. If accidental, no big deal, as long as one of them is what you wanted to order. If on purpose, it gets a bit more shady since that would indicate they are gaming the system by putting in ghost custom/customer orders to get "stock" Mavericks to sell.

I called the dealer to confirm that my name was still attached to the first order and then asked about the second order. they claim that they must have accidently used my email address on the second order. I'm not sure how they could accidentally do that but as long as I'm getting the vehicle thats being produced next week its all good.
the emails from ford dont say the specific build for the car but the new order looks identical to the specs i chose when building my maverick based on the picture.

Copy paste errors happen all the time. Two orders are better than none.
