I have the '22 Mav XLT with the lux package. The power seat is for all practical purposes a 4-way power seat: forward & back and up & down . . There is no adjustable tilt. When you adjust up & down the seat pulls you closer to the steering wheel on the up motion and away on the downward motion. NOT an 8 way seat!I like the manual seat better
That would be a 10 way.The plastic seats are awful and the 8 way seat should be called 7 way at best because it does not allow the driver to tilt it forward thereby lessening the pressure on one’s legs.
Up/down from the rear motor counts as two ways. If the forward tilted up down as well as the rear up down, that would be a 10-way seat. Can't have a 7-way seat. That would imply that one motion can only be adjusted in one direction and never reversed. If the seat can’t be tilted forward then that would be 7 not 8.
Nope. That's why it's 8-way and not 10-way. You're missing ways 9 & 10.The plastic seats are awful and the 8 way seat should be called 7 way at best because it does not allow the driver to tilt it forward thereby lessening the pressure on one’s legs.
I know I'm going to regret wading into this, but 9&10 aren't missing, they're just linked to 1 & 2. It would be better if they actually were missing and the seat base angle did not move.Nope. That's why it's 8-way and not 10-way. You're missing ways 9 & 10.
- Up

- Backward
- Seat back tilt forward
- Seat back tilt backward
- Lumbar in
- Lumbar out
- Seat base tilt forward
- Seat base tilt backward
Very good explanation.I know I'm going to regret wading into this, but 9&10 aren't missing, they're just linked to 1 & 2. It would be better if they actually were missing and the seat base angle did not move.
Pulling up on the control raises the whole seat at the same time it changes the seat angle, pitching the seat base forward.
Pushing down lowers the whole seat and pitches the seat base backward.
In the middle range of height adjustment it's comfortable. At the bottom, which I favor in almost all vehicles, it's very uncomfortable because the cushion is very uneven with the front raised, causing the leg comfort and circulation issues.
I have plenty of headroom so I gave up and raised my seat until the seat base was comfortable and then learned to live with the height.
