Damn them, they must have changed vendors, it has been a while but I have replaced them in the past( okay, it was like 10 years ago, but it was possible) sorry to hear that, that sucks.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one bummed about the keypad removal. When I ordered my truck I didn't want the damn thing, but now I use it daily!

I guess I'm going to have to learn to without it.
Damn my dealer for missing the 360 assist on my 2023. So, now to get it I have to order a 24.
Just get the same color and swap doors when it arrives........ :ROFLMAO:

Can the owner of the truck make the initial program for the keypad?
Will the keypad give a warning when the battery is low, it would be nice before
leaving the keys in the truck, coming back to the truck keys inside and whoops the battery is dead.

also, i went to ford.com saw the keypad for sale, but it might appear that customer has to go to
dealer to get program. which is 120 miles from where i live because no dealer that programs it within my immedediate zip code.

I know it is silly, but I am so upset about losing the manual rear window option. Praying my ‘23 XLT hybrid order gets built.
Honestly, I ordered the manual rear window on both hybrids, but have never used it in nearly 18 months of ownership.

Does anyone know if the light that comes with the 400w inverter in the truck bed will not be included as well? I looked at the 2023 ordering guide that has the light and I can't tell any difference in the language or how they describes the light.

The bed light + 400w inverter still comes with the XLT Lux/Lariat. It's the option for the in cab only inverter point that was available outside of those being removed.

Ok so I am doing the math on this, please correct me if I have these figures wrong. If the ecoboost gets 25 MPG and the Hybrid gets 40 MPG and if gas is $4/gal then your ROI would be around the 20K miles. And of course this is only factoring in the cost of gas.
All of this depends on where the person lives and the commute.
GF's hybrid real world mpg is closer to 33 mpg. Which is still terrific for a small pickup! For someone living in a city. I'm sure the mpg would be better.
Both our commutes are 30 plus miles one way, mostly highway.
So for her situation, it would take many more miles before she'd break even with the new price increases. Luckily she got hers before all of that.

I remember having the door keypad on one of my old vehicles. It was so nice. If you were at church and the kids wanted to get in the car or roll down the windows they didn't have to bother you for the keys. They could simply go enter the code.

To roll down the windows you only had to hold two keys at the same time (I forget which ones they were. ) Such a lovely feature.

I have it on my MY22 XLT Maverick Hybrid and the one time I tried to use it turned out to be useless so I removed it from my MY23 order (which added the missing trailer hitch).

On my old 1988 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab the manual rear sliding window was tall and allowed long pieces of PVC piping 8 to 10 feet in length to be placed in the bed and extended through the window then between the front seats. In the Maverick the window is not tall enough and the same load has the PVC piping hitting the ceiling which makes the window useless for me.

I just built my new order. Very basic XLT Hybrid with co pilot 360. MY23 order was 26,600 including the 1,495 D&D. MY 24 exact same same build will be just north of 30k. 30,060 including 1,595 D&D. It will be interesting to see how much of that is price protected. And I lose the Area 51 color and the silly keypad I love so much.

Hahaha not a bad plan. Might as well swap the windshields while I'm at it to keep the deicer 😂

@fordvideoguy (or anyone else who can help) when ordering the 2024 XLT Hybrid what codes do I need to give to the dealer?

The 2024 Order Guide and the Price Sheet have me confused as the Order Guide shows:

SuperCrew® FWD with code: W8H
and
2.5L Hybrid (FWD Only) w/ Automatic Continuously Variable Transmission with codes: 993/445

Whereas the 2024 Price Sheet shows:

XLT Crew Cab FWD (300A) with code: W8H
and
2.5L Hybrid (FWD Only) w/ Automatic Continuously Variable Transmission with codes: 993

So my question is what exact code(s) do I give my dealer for them to place my order for a MY24 XLT Maverick Hybrid?

Which of the following code(s) should I give to the dealer?

W8H + 993/445
or 993/445
or only 993

Also I cannot find any reference to what the 445 means in the Order Guide as it is not shown in the Price Sheet.

This is what I already sent to the dealer:

MY 2024 Order Sheet

XLT Maverick Hybrid in Atlas Blue Metallic
W8H XLT Crew Cab FWD (300A)
993 2.5L Hybrid (FWD Only) This also includes option 51D Full Size Spare Tire
60B Trailer Hitch Receiver
86B Ford Co-Pilot 360
153 Front License Plate Bracket (Ford no longer includes this on orders and has to be added for Texas)

Was what I sent to the dealer okay or do I need to contact them again with additional codes?

Thanks

Increased prices, reduced color options, de-contented, and option package combination requirements. I guess I will not be replacing my 2022 XLT AWD.

My 2022 Maverick is Alto blue with the luxury package, CP360, FX4, and floor liners with carpeted mats. I paid $31,655 for that in October 2022. The same options for the XLT AWD now run $34,525 (different increased cost paint since Alto Blue is gone for 2024). Except one cannot order FX4 now without 4k Tow. So add another $745 to that number for $35,270. For that extra $3600+ the windshield wiper deicer, bed rail tie down kit, and keyless keypad are gone. Sure, the 4k tow is now included. That is meaningless for me though. I don't own a trailer and in my 34 years of driving I have never once towed a trailer.

I understand prices increase over time. I understand option packages change. That is all fine. However, in my position there is zero reason to order a 2024. I would just get to pay more for less with no upside. If Eruption Green was available, there was a larger screen, SYNC 4 was available, adaptive cruise was available on the XLT, something, I likely would be ordering for 2024. Guess I will wait and see what 2025 brings. I wish everyone ordering next week a short wait. I still love my Maverick.

Yeah i did the math and assuming the 37 combined MPG is accurate, with the commute being about 50/50 city/highway, it would take 7 years to payoff the difference between the engines. its only like a 15 minute commute, so we're not talking a ton of driving.

But of course, if I were to choose the ecoboost I woudl also want to get AWD which is more than going hybrid, so I guess its a moot point. :ROFLMAO:

So, I've been going through the specs line by line. (Doing price comparison between what I thought I ordered, what I got, and a 2024 with all the features I want)
I noticed a small interior change, the steering wheel went from "leather wrapped" to "soft vinyl wrapped". I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed that.
