At my age, I want more comfort and convenience as I drive around town at 30-45 mph than knowing I have extra horsepower. It does do just fine at 80-90 on the local 80mph interstate, tho.
I was just yanking your chain playfully. :)

Playfully returned.

I do remember my younger days when I added a solid lifter hypro 289 cam into my 260 cu in V8 1963 Comet S-22, installed a 550 Holley 4 bbl carb atop an Edelbrock manifold, used a dual point hypro 289 distributor and even stuffed Hedman Headers in there. A little rear lift and what we called wide oval tires. Those were the days of smoking 327 Novas, leaving huge smoke clouds for a little light-to-light fun. That was back when Ford put out a factory catalog of interchangeable high performance parts for both the small blocks and big blocks. The hy-pro 289 (available in Mustangs) had 271 hp from the factory. Picture isn't mine, but identical color/style. I loved that car. The dummy who bought it from me rolled it in local street drags. Thanks for taking me back 50 years or so.

Those were the days...But now, heated steering wheel, bun warmer and 40+ mpg are motivators for me...oh, and a tailgate dampener so I don't drop it.

Interesting read, but as expected, no PHEV option. So no refresh for me in 2026.

I don't see a price list. Did I miss it?

I think the Maverick prices will be in the official Ford website come November. However, some dealers like Long-MacArthur Ford have prices already up.

Basically - no significant price ups or downs. Although lots of previously included stuff is now optional at a price. Spare tire option $150ish.

deleted the two best colors in my opinion
Yup. I love my Desert Sand Lariat. Also if I'm reading correctly, my standard included rear sliding window is now not standard and available for additional cost..?
