Well based on my reading of the article and taking a look at a few pages worth of the complaints on https://www.nhtsa.gov/ for these vehicles it does seem like all the ones catching fire were manufactured before September 1, 2022. I'm not saying I trust Ford, but I would imagine there was some...
Does anyone know if the light that comes with the 400w inverter in the truck bed will not be included as well? I looked at the 2023 ordering guide that has the light and I can't tell any difference in the language or how they describes the light.
My dealer told me I had to present the code at ordering time. I went through the process and sent them the PDF file with the code for the discount, they said that was good. Since it's likely the truck will not be built by January, I wonder how things will play out.
Yeah, it's a new experience for me and I can see the upsides and downsides to both. Like you say, it also depends on your needs. If you can wait, getting exactly what you want is nice. If you need something quickly, picking among what's available has its advantages. I suspect as time goes on and...
I've thought a few times that Ford should actually be charging us less (even more so for first year orders) to basically be guinea pigs for their new vehicle, and silently wait for it to be built with no clear timeline. I know there are Ford fans who won't tolerate any criticism and I'm not...
Did either of them require a deposit? I believe Ted Russell said they wanted $500 (non-refundable) which was a big no for me. I went out of a state for a below MSRP price but maybe I should have ordered in state.
When I first decided I'd order a Maverick in July I was still debating about Velocity Blue or Area 51 (though leaning a bit toward Area 51 just because it seems unusual). After seeing a Bronco and then a couple Mavericks in Area 51 I decided I'd go with Area 51 when I made my order. In anything...
Has anyone heard anything about allocations at Chapman Philly? I ordered from them but it was on the 18th so I'm sure a lot of people were ahead of me.
This is why I'm skeptical of the claims of huge numbers of orders beyond what Ford can produce. Between all the instances of people who were assured their '22 order would roll over automatically to find out after the deadline that it didn't, and people who weren't rollovers but believed they...
So if the hold up is the hybrid power-train is there a chance they will be able to produce more within the model year or have they made all they plan to make?
Think about all the things dealers have gotten wrong or misinterpreted throughout this process. As I understand it, some never even knew when order banks were going to open (or that they did open). Kind of strange that they would reach out to customers with this kind of doom and gloom without...
I read about ROVP/COVP and realized my dealer did not ask for my driver's license, only for me to sign the sheet with the MSRP and invoice price and built specs. The order was made online and I received the confirmation email from Ford before the dealer and I even finished our email exchange. I...
Yeah, I suspect you're right. I think Ford's goal is to make as many as necessary for CAFE purposes (to offset gas hogging F-150s, Broncos, etc.) but also not use up too much of the Hermosillo capacity for more profitable Bronco sports.
