Dealer called today to say my 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid order is canceled and wanted to know if I want to order a 2024 when orders open.

ThisNo reason for it to be cancelled already unless dealer screwed the order up. I’d find another dealership.
THAT was exactly my first thought!Call or chat with Ford. Provide them your sales and order codes to make sure they are just screwing you and selling it to someone else.
They are blaming ford but the dealer did not do COVP. I would ask them if they did COVPDealer called today to say my 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid order is canceled and wanted to know if I want to order a 2024 when orders open.
I tend to agree. The possibility of either scenario shouldn't be ruled out so quickly. You all are awfully sure that the dealer screwed up and it wasn't just Ford balancing it out.
Looking at the data from Monday's constraints list it appears to me that between 9 and 10 thousand hybrid orders are not going to get built. They'll get balanced out soon. How soon? Maybe started yesterday.![]()
No, there is still scheduling for 23 Mavs for another few weeks. Ford won't purge the order banks for a while yet (so dealers can reference unscheduled 23s to reorder 24s).You all are awfully sure that the dealer screwed up and it wasn't just Ford balancing it out.
