I've been getting the deep sleep regularly lately, truck is a little over a year.

WEAK batteries.
Mine drops to around 12.3 volts after charging it all night. Seems to go into deep sleep around 12.2 volts.
Probably see if they'll replace it when I get that CSP for the wiring harness dealt with one of these days.

@Gullzway is referring to Ford's Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) 22B39, which relates to a wiring harness defect on Maverick Hybrid units built through May 13, 2022. If yours is a 2023, it would not be affected by that, and shouldn't have the same issues.

Just saw this posted by Tommy on another site. I searched here and haven’t seen it posted yet.

I installed a Diehard replacement in order to rule Motorcraft batteries out of my Deep Sleep equation, more than 3 months now, zero issues since.... before that I got DS every ~3 days for 6 months even when charging overnight at every DS event.

Not to worry. If I don't drive mine for more than 4-5 days, I'll get the "deep sleep" message.

What is this "not driving the Mav for 4-5 days" thing you speak of?? BLASPHEMY!!!

I have been getting the DS message from time to time. The dealer has checked the battery and its fully charged. There is one other thing that seems to be tied to this...when you enter your vehicle but before you start it, does the dome light near the rear view mirror go on or not? Mine doesn't. After additional discussions, we decided we're going to wait till after they replace the harness per the above CSP. We're hoping its related.

All great advice, I'll probably do a battery replacement just to rule it out after tightening everything down, I drive it at least 17 miles per day so I couldn't think of any reason why this would be happening.

All my lights and everything come on when unlocking the vehicle, and stay on for about 5 seconds after locking it. So from everything I see, it should be all good. Will update today if the overnight charged helped.

Got my '23 Maverick in February and just got the Deep Sleep message after parking it for nearly 4 weeks when we were on an extended vacation.

Started right up and has been working just fine and message went away. Just got my first oil change and tire rotation also at 2,200 miles which is probably nuts, but makes me feel good and did it anyway! My service tech thought that was a little early, but she has seen people wait 10,000 miles for their first oil change and thought this was much better if I plan on keeping it for a long time. My last vehicle I had for 17 years.

Mine went into deep sleep mode by not driving it daily. Just taking it for an extended drive, issue went away. My Maverick is 8 months old and only have 2100 miles on it, so? They do have a Technical Service Bullentin out on the Maverick for this issue.

I just bought my Maverick Hybrid on the 16th, and picked it up three days ago. Paired Ford pass to it at the dealership and saw the deep sleep in message, I cannot use any remote functions. But nothing seems off about the truck, so I don't know what to do. I did a few BCM resets, tested the voltage on the battery after it set overnight and it was 12.3v.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate, should I hit the dealership up right away?
Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Maverick concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Get it addressed. It's a massive issue in the Escapes and here too, but I feel people are less informed about it here.

They used a crappy battery and they have an updated one you need to swap it with. Do not accept the dealer telling you anything else.

In my defense, I got it in March, we had a lot of late snow through May, I'm retired, and we have too many other cars. I know it can handle the snow, but with a Jeep in the garage, i did not want to risk my new truck when I first got it.

Those are my excuses...but there's been no more deep sleep since the weather improved and I drive it as I should. I try to find places to take it daily, including driving the 2 blocks down to the mailbox.

I absolutely love this truck and it has given me ZERO issues. I'm even starting to remember to tap the mode button 4 times somewhere in the first mile or so, and am completely used to spinning the shifter without having to look at it.
