OK but my question is, what good does it do? If the voltage goes below what it's supposed to be, how does knowing that help you? (Not being snarky here, I just want to know...)
Here's my thinking...and I had the little thing laying around, so why not put it into the 12 v socket.

Ford hasn't provided a good, easily understood explanation as to exactly how the "deep sleep" process works...I know it is based on both Voltage and time since last start as my Transit RV is always on a float charger, but still goes into Deep Sleep after 14 days without a start. This item lets me see what is happening and whether to worry/take steps to get a new battery.. I've had decades of RV experience and I know that a reading of 12.2V indicates a 50% State of Charge (SOC) on a FLA battery, and constantly letting even a deep cycle battery go below 50% SOC is harmful to it over time.

When I first got my Maverick, I did not drive it for days at a time because we had late snow and my Jeep was a better choice than risking the new truck out with stupid drivers. I got the Deep Sleep notice a few times on the app, along with the tell-tale lack of interior lights.

At first, I saw that the voltage would be in the 11.7 - 11.9 volt range when I pressed the start button without turning on the motor (accessory mode, in other words). That was highly concerning to me. Now, nearly 4 months later, it seems to be staying in the 12.3-12.5 v range. So I am thinking the battery is now doing ok. I haven't seen Deep Sleep for many weeks now in my 16 weeks of ownership.

It has never failed to instantly pop up to 14.5V when I actually start it in Run mode, as the HV battery's charging voltage is connected and present. Still, when I bring it in for service, I'll ask that Ford make sure the battery is good. I think these 12v batteries have a grueling start at first, sitting in Mexico for weeks, sitting on a train for weeks, sitting in a railyard for whatever time. My truck was built on 1/12/23, but not delivered to the dealer until 3/8/23. But watching the voltage at rest come up to where it should be, 12.3-12.65v, I think my battery is fine.

So that's the "help" I am getting...just info. If it were still staying below 12.2v, I would be at my dealer looking for a load test now.

Thanks so much for taking the time to explain. Full disclosure: this was mostly Greek to me! LOL But I showed your answer to my husband, who understands exactly what you're saying. We're thinking of getting it on Amazon and keeping track of the voltage so that we'll know if we do need to have the battery replaced. We did use a battery tender for a couple of days but it didn't seem to do anything, in fact the day after we unplugged it we got another "deep sleep" message. Too bad Ford is being obstinate about this and apparently refuses to be much help (according to most of the other people who've posted here)!

I really wish Ford made a decent little manual covering what is going on with the deep sleep process. I think many of the batteries are overtaxed and fail prematurely with all the connectivity going on, and folks should never have to jump-start a new truck, as seems commonplace. I think mine is ok. So far anyway.

Another update. So I pull into my driveway today, come inside, and I'm looking around on my phone check the Ford Pass app, suddenly my truck is out of deep sleep, I'm so confused. Gonna keep the appointment with Ford to update the infotainment system and what not, and just in case the deep sleep comes back before the 13th.

My phone tells me that FordPass updated itself yesterday to version 4.28.0. Maybe some glitch fixed?

So... My app never updated, so I doubt it was the update. But now I'm scared to update. Lol. Gonna do it and see what happens.

Edit: Updated app and still no deep sleep, so I dunno. I might be golden, but I'm keeping the appointment just in case.

So my Maverick has been out of deep sleep, and has shown no signs of going back into it. Dealership doesn't wanna mess with it if it's not being a problem and I don't blame them, so I'm gonna keep an eye on it but for now everything is in working order.

Though now I wonder about adding a dash cam, and if it might make this come back. Lol.

Actually we did the Ford Pass update as soon as it was available, and we got another "deep sleep" message again yesterday. So I guess the issue isn't with Ford Pass at all but with the lousy battery Ford installed in the truck!
