When do you think they will announce information about the 2024 Ford Maverick? Does anyone remember when they did it last year and when you were able to place the order?

Thanks!

Last year, my dealer suggested I configure the 2023 model using the 2022 build-and-price tool online and send them that information before the order banks opened for 2023 orders. I think last year the b&p tool wasn't even updated until afterwards. I imagine 2024 will be similar.

I believe there are expected to be very few substantial changes. Packages might be reconfigured though so it would be good to make sure your dealer know which parts of the package are of interest to you.

Also - I think the official Ford order guide was leaked online last year sometime before order banks opened. If you can familiarize yourself with that, you might find yourself one step ahead of your dealer. You might not even need it to leak - some dealers will kindly explain the order guide in online videos and blog posts. In theory - if you walk in to your dealer, that's the piece of information they should use to help you build your order anyway.

If I remember correctly, order banks open up July 17. If it follows last year's scenario, you need to be there the first day or two because they will close QUICKLY.
No the order banks were initially supposed to open sometime earlier than they did on Sep 15. After only 5 days they closed hybrid orders and allowed EB orders for another day with a total orders input at about 86K. The salesman I ordered with on the 20th had all the info on ordering details but, apparently not had time to digest it himself. He and I basically learned together what was what in the various packages and colors. He was not versed in any constraints suggesting I get a hitch. Which I agreed with. Admittedly a small hometown family dealership. Still waiting....

Ford really should not make any initial changes until after all the unbuilt rollover orders are built. This will prevent the need to update those orders to the new options delaying their construction. This is one of the reasons many new my23 orders got built and delivered ahead of the rolled over my22's. They can then make running changes to my24 options.

Marketing told me the MY24 bank was supposed to open later in the year and had been moved up to July.

I remember being pretty irritated when I was waiting for my '22 and they announced the '23. I was thinking: "What about the Donkey"?!?!

Aside from the Tremor announcement all of the pricing information, feature guide, etc. came out the same day of ordering opened last year. I wouldn't anticipate any earlier.

yeah - this is consistent with thread history here at MTC.

11th Sept. -- order guide appears to have been unavailable per:
You will find the order guide posted here and on the other forums as soon as it is public. They are not published or public yet.
15th Sept. -- day order banks (kinda) opened - first post on the thread containing the pdf order guide.

Looks like until order banks open, MY23 info might be all we have to work with.

Just got an email from Ford explaining the ongoing hinderances in meeting all orders. They said all ordered EBs should built, but us hybrid folks will hear further details in July.

Safe plan is to be prepared with the dealer by having a pre-order for the 2024 in with the dealer now based on the 2023 guide. That way it can be entered first day banks open which can/will vary from the preliminary July date announced. The dealer will probably be busy with in-showroom customers the first couple of days and with all the complaining to Ford about taking too many 2023 orders they might shut down the order banks in a couple of days then reopen them a little later if they still have some slack.

After your pre-order has been entered and the order guides come out the dealer can modify the order to your specifics. They aren't going to be building them for a couple of months after the banks open.

Not! Again, allocation, allocation, and allocation. If the dealer has no allocation, regardless of how many EB orders they have left, they will not be built.

The e-mail said that most EB orders will be completed, it didn't say all orders will be built.
