I believe he mentioned he financed his deal at .9% for three years and said they were discounting them 5-6k. He didn't say if he traded in a Maverick that I remember but if he did he probably got a decent trade....

Sold the 2023 Maverick Hybrid and bought a 2023 Ridgeline Black Edition. I only drive 2K or maybe 3K miles a year and wont miss the extra fuel economy too much.

I will keep an eye on the Mav development and maybe in 3 or 4 more years they'll get it dialed in, hopefully with a MSRP still under $25k.

Every new gen model has growing pains - it is what it is. Doesn't matter who the mfg is, very few get lucky with a homerun the first few production years.

I prefer to buy very mature-generation vehicles. This is the 6th model year and 7th production year of the 2nd gen Ridgeline - and by now it is very well sorted out.

N.A. V6 9-sp AWD w/paddle shift, climate control in the rear, nearly 600watt stereo and the entire bed is one giant speaker. Plus it has a trunk - A TRUNK!!

I hope a $50,000 Honda is noticeably nicer than a $30-35,000 Ford, my FX4 was under $30,000.
Can we now get a post on how much nicer a new Explorer is than a CRV, it would be just as informational.
To add, not all Maverick owners have had a troubled ownership.
Happy the OP likes his new ride but he stepped up to a much, much bigger investment in troubled times.

Same here, I drive 25,000 miles a year, the Maverick hybrid really meets my needs well, it is great having good capability, comfort, and the styling is fantastic. That said, mine has become problematic and my airbag recall was botched on top of that. I wish Ford would have been addressed the known and well-documented issues (e.g no-start/no power) more aggressively. When I get mine back, I'll reevaluate whether I like it as much as before. One starts to wander after a month without.

Another "comparison" thread. A 23 Ridgeline starts at 38,800. The 23 Maverick started at 22,595.

Cars.com lists 23 Ridgeline Sport's at less than 1200 under MSRP.

Yeah, there really isn't anything like it. It meets my utility needs and most importantly, I can joyride some without the guilt of spending $25-$30 in gas for a drive to the mountains or a lake.
That said, it does me no good if not reliable.

If you only drive 2K miles per year, wouldn't it be cheaper just to rent a truck whenever you need one?

Kind of agree. Primarily because the Ridgeline isn't a comp for the Maverick based solely on price. No one I know would go truck buying without having decided if they were going to spend $25k or $50k

The Ridgeline is a fine mid sized truck. But bis not a Maverick.

Those are very nice trucks but for me, well above what I choose to spend on a vehicle.

The voice of reason. I gave up on Honda after my last Accord. Apparently a major engine defect which caused the pistons to burn oil. Gave it up after 84K miles. I think I'm done.
