  1. Finally found a tent that fits the bed 🤣

I waited to order my Napier tent until after I got my Maverick. But now they are out of stock and not even showing on the Napier website. Any idea if they've been discontinued? Or when they might be available again? I want to take a solo trip this fall and and thought I had a pan but this messes...

I agree. This is something to Tweet to (*X?) Ford's CEO. A Tweet to a CEO or a call to the ombudsman at a local newspaper or news broadcaster can get your consumer problem some publicity, which can get action when normal channels won't work. Here's his X info: Jim Farley on Twitter/X

It's at the dealer's. Picking up tomorrow because they couldn't get us an out-the door price until Thursday, so had to wait an extra day for the money to get from our broker to our credit union. Ordered 9/30/21, so 600 days from order to delivery.
  13. Maverick down, I repeat MAVERICK XL HYBRID DOWN! ($15k in airbags, $15k in body and paint damage repair)

Sorry for your loss. We're picking up our Maverick tomorrow. He also asked if we wanted rental car coverage. After...
  14. "first right of refusal" dealership sold my order without ever contacting me

The measure of damages for breach of contract would be the difference between the value of the vehicle and the price the plaintiff would have paid under the contract. So those "hypothetical profits" are exactly what is protected by contract law. And in this case, the profit isn't hypothetical...

  17. "first right of refusal" dealership sold my order without ever contacting me

Don't listen to all the naysayers. Contact a local attorney about the Texas treble damages statute posted earlier in the thread. A lawyer can, if they don't settle, subpena phone records or do discovery to see what proof they have of the phone call. Your word is worth as much in court as the...
  18. "first right of refusal" dealership sold my order without ever contacting me

Good find! Consult a lawyer and consider having the lawyer write your demand letter. Your losses are much more than the 2700 private offer. They are the value of the truck (most likely measured by the price the dealer got for it) less the amount you would have paid. You may be able to find the...
