I will be signing paperwork in the next day or two. I paid over MSRP which I am ok with but there is also a $1500 destination fee.....I believe that is how it is labeled on the invoice. I have read about making them stick to MSRP and no add on fees.....I totally get that but I have zero patience and need a vehicle right now. So the question stands.....is there a way around this fee or suck it up if you want your truck?

Generally you have to pay the destination fee on any vehicle, of course everything is negotiable when you buy a car, well except for a higher demand vehicle like the Maverick.

I think most everyone pays destination fees. Part of MSRP, on the window sticker. You likely will also get a dealer doc fee of ~$500+. Again, some may have avoided but all the dealerships I contacted have this adder. It is the stuff like exterior and interior dealer treatments, underbody treatments, warranties, ADM, and anything else they feel like adding. You are stuck with the destination fees.

That's around 1,560 US dollars...

I've got a break on my destination charge, $1,495... ;) 😂

Add to this the doc/proc/reg fees, it was $2,424; if you add the taxes, the total was $4,762. They will fleece you any ways they can, there's no ways around it. Maybe when there will be lot of Mavericks on the dealers' lots, you can bargain down some these items. Even then, they'll make up for it somewhere else...

Paid destination fee. I looked but couldn't find any way around it.
Want to cry?
Paid a little over $3100 in taxes, title, plates here.
Hope your location is friendlier.

Destination fee is part of the MSRP and cannot be negotiated.

All the other fees though, might be negotiable. Here is Florida, there is no cap on what a dealer can charge for a "dealer fee". Either the dealership charges the fee or they don't. The dealer I purchased my Maverick from charges a $1200 dealer fee. It's 100% profit. That's why I used the x plan which caps the dealer fee to $75. Some dealerships I researched in Florida do not charge a dealer fee but those were smaller dealerships and did not have the sheer number of allocations that the mega dealer did.

It always pays to research the dealerships (y)

Excuse my ignorance but what the heck is an X plan?

Ford's AXZ Plan is a benefit and recognition program for Ford's most valuable assets, current and past employees, partners, and their family and friends.

it's like some very minimal Ford discount plan based on who you know - it was maybe 120 off the price but it also limits doc fees to 500 or so. It's something but it's not like the other lettered plans

Virtually no one is paying below MSRP.
well that certainly is not true...... hundreds and hundreds of people here have paid less than MSRP

All the Chapman orders, the Grainer orders and Koons orders to name just a few

The destination on the 23 Mav got raised a few month ago. But you are price protected if you had your order already in. It had gone up $100
