Talk about being out of touch......you're in the very very minority of consumers and if you did in fact pay less than MSRP consider yourself very lucky. I doubt there are very many who did not order a Maverick paying MSRP let alone less than MSRP. The reality is that most are paying at least $5,000.00 over MSRP (whether they want to admit it or not).
I thought you were banned...

Maybe difficult, but not impossible to find one at MSRP. I found one at a dealer here in Michigan early April and did an online inquiry. Cyber Orange Lariat Eco 4WD, no lux. They called me and said it was a customer order, but they would call me back if the customer didn't pick it up. Surprisingly, I got the call three days later. I test drove it and they offered it to me at MSRP minus $750 (an incentive I was eligible for), but I passed and chose to wait for my order instead (Hybrid FE). I am glad I waited to get exactly what I wanted. I did think about buying it and "flipping" it, but it wouldn't have been worth the hassle to me. Hopefully it ended up in someone's garage at a reasonable price.

I think maybe you need to go back and read the sequence of posts again.

I responded to @Enderet's post about finding a truck in stock at MSRP.

You say you got your truck under MSRP, and that's great. But you didn't find that truck in stock did you?

You don't mention it in your post -- not sure why that is -- but you actually ordered your truck about 8 months ago and got it last month.

In other words, you did exactly what I recommended that the OP do. So what's the problem?
I was answering the op and if I missed something in your post so sorry. I've read the majority of your posts and I'm not a fan of how you come across in this forum. I'm just tired of the overwhelming negativity and fuel for it. Lifes too short.

I'm curious as to why so many people are willing to pay so much over MSRP?

An answer of "because I can" doesn't help. I mean, I'm happy for you if money is not a problem.

I can't afford to pay over MSRP, so I'm waiting for prices to become more reasonable. I know it may take quite a while and I do worry about Ford increasing the MSRP because of there being so many willing to pay so much.

So yeah...I'm just curious.
If you mean "over "MSRP from dealer lots" then the answer is supply and demand especially for the Hybrid Maverick.

My Maverick XLT Hybrid that has a MSRP of $24,620 yet today Carvana is offering me $32,974 for it or $8,354 over MSRP for a used Maverick with 1286 miles on it.

So new Maverick Hybrids will probably demand $10,000 over MSRP off dealer lots.
