Now that I see that Grainger says they are competitive, I’ll call them when I get my Maverick.
By the way my Wife LOVES her Maverick, it’s an absolute home run. And the Hot Pepper Red is stunning. Talk about a great Christmas Present (we picked it up on the 23rd) good luck with yours when it comes in. Holidays wishes from Maine;)

Give Flood Ford a look. https://www.floodfordesp.com/index.php

They are an authorized Ford ESP seller. I just did a quick check on my Mav in my sig and they wanted $1100 for the same 6/100,000 Premium Care coverage.
My dealer wanted 5k for two separate warranties…I declined and took the truck at msrp

I agree the hot pepper is a home run color.

When you buy the extended coverage, does it start at day one or after the manufacture 3 year warranty? I’ve never bought one before.

No it starts at mile zero but you can wait a bit as long as you're in the initial 3 years 36 months warranty. But the price will continue to go so it's best yo get early if you're getting it at all.

I used the Flood Ford pricing to negotiate a better 7/100K warranty price from my dealer. The $0 Deductible was $1685 from Flood Ford. We settled on $1800. It was worth it for me to pay the extra since I could finance it in the deal. 3.95% is way less than a credit card rate, which is also tied to the market.

I also considered buying a Flood Ford warranty later near the expiration of the existing warranty, but they have a warning on their site rates are going up on 1/5/22. Thought I should lock in now, cost and interest rate with everything volatile and trending up in 2022.

Although, if I end up ordering a new Ranger, I may have just wasted $1800 plus interest. Darned if I do, darned if I don't.

I believe factory extended warranty is transferable to next owner. That may be a bargaining point for trade. Some manufacturers let you transfer it to a new vehicle if you trade; don’t know about Ford.

Google "Ford ESP Warranties" there are 3 or 4 dealers that sell them online. I found AndersonAndKoch-Ford-Warranty.com - got the Ford ESP PremiumCARE 6 year/100000 mi with key protection for $1010

FWIW Ford also does separate 0%/24 financing available for the ESP.

Buy it direct from FORD?
https://fordprotect.ford.com/
  • Q: When can I purchase a New Ford Protect Extended Service Plan?
  • Plans must be purchased within the time and mileage of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty (the earlier of 3 years or 36,000 miles for Ford vehicles and 4 years or 50,000 miles for Lincoln vehicles).

  • Q: Why am I unable to purchase Ford Protect Extended Service Plan or Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan coverage for my vehicle online?
  • A: This may be because of a typo in the information you entered, your vehicle was recently purchased and is not in our system yet, or your vehicle is not eligible for the plan you selected. However, you still may be eligible to purchase a Ford Protect Extended Service Plan or Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan. Contact our Ford Protect sales department at 800-367-3377 and one of our sales representatives can assist you.

My dealer wanted $3500 for the warranty and $3000 for the service plan. Both were 8 years/150K miles with no deductible. I passed.
