Ok I will give that a shot. I dont plan on any other lights in the bed so it will just be trailer lights hooked up to the pigtail. The Ford instructions are a little fuzzy for me but I need to take a look at what my truck actually has. As I recall I have a dangling wire with a plug and play...
Hello all....I did some searches but didnt find this answer although I am sure it had to be discussed. I plan on ordering a E trailer plug n play hitch wiring kit for my xl hybrid. I love that there is no splicing into my oem harness. My only question is where have you guys been grabbing your...
Ok thanks....mine is a 2023 so I have 36k miles on it. The Ford Pass app showed a refrigerant error but only the dealer could see that portion of the screen
Ok I am going to admit that I didn't do a search of the forum before posting this. But just looking to see if this is a common issue or just me. This summer a few times I would start my truck and drive off and notice the AC was blowing hot air. After hitting every button and switch there were...
I use 6' ramps to load and unload Weber grills from my truck almost daily. My ramps have chains attached to them. I put the ramps up to the tailgate then hook the chains tight to the tie down hooks in the bed. If you send us a pic of your ramps maybe that would help
Spoke with the creator of this here rack yesterday.....and for the person that asked about how he did it all by hand.....keep in mind he is a master carpenter so he knows how to work with materials. He used a plunge router to do the Maverick logo.......he used the Maverick letters from the...
Yes.....that is one of the things that I really liked.....he did in fact use the tie down locations for the attachment points. Think of how easy it would be to remove it when not needed
Thanks for the replies.......... to be clear.......I just saw the truck in the parking lot and struck up a conversation with the guy. Turns out he is a super nice guy and quite the skilled craftsman. I asked him if I could share it with the forum and he said no problem. Since I have posted...
Ya know I didnt even think about that....but that rack could be zipped off of that truck in about 5 minutes and there goes that masterpiece :( I guess we are not allowed to have nice things
I will ask him how he did the lettering......I just met the guy and had a chat. I imagine he could have used a router with a metal bit.....but I am not a metal or a wood craftsman. Im a hack!
Yep......the cost of materials is ridiculous right now.....I believe he told me that was 1/2" stock. This rack does not budge at all....extremely stout.
Thanks for the replies. Yep as mentioned he is a craftsman and did this project for himself with no intention on reproducing these so he went all out with over the top materials......professional welding.......high end fasteners....etc. Just the metal stock alone and fasteners would be very...
Hello all. I met a guy in the Home Depot parking lot today that has hand fabricated the most awesome bed rack that I have ever seen. I believe he said it is made from 1/2" aluminum but dont quote me on that. He hand made and drilled everything. His buddy did the welding. It is mounted via...
Well thanks for all of the replies. That all makes sense to me now. This long hill comes at the end of a 4 hour highway drive so my battery would have been fully charged before I took on the hill. Thanks for the info folks!
Hello all I will make this a quick question. Recently I was going down a long steep hill and letting my truck do the engine braking. Towards the bottom of the hill my truck started to wind up like a kids toy . Is this a bad thing to use engine braking on a hybrid? Have you guys experienced...
Well as the Iceman pointed out I have not referenced my manual but others have posted and shown the the hybrids take full synthetic so maybe yours is a EB if a blend is suggested.
