I travel to remote rural places for work where if you break down or encounter trouble there isn’t much that can help you other than yourself. So like a few others I usually pack some short term survival resources, tools, straps, tarp, knife, med pack, firearm, etc. For me, I have layers set up in the Maverick, front seat has the immediate needs, rear seat has stuff for just in case, then I have a container in the bed for a “what if” scenario. The under seat storage in the Maverick was one of my favorite features. Holds all my things and I don’t have to see any of them!

All of this sits under the rear seat or behind it. The storage space is absolutely massive.

Boy, a lot of people are either "going hunting" or planning on the coming of the "Four Horsemen" o_O :p

'Blu' carries mostly what I have always carried in my Rangers, "Truck Stuff":
Under the rear seat: 2 ton jack (same one I have carried since my first truck), Lug star wrench (that's the one with four different sizes), 1 bath and 2 hand towels BLACK in color (for cleanup and to cover/hide stuff, they blend real well with my floor mats), Battery Jumper cables, handful of plastic grocery bags (they squish up real small), Fire extinguisher, roll of paper toweling, Umbrella, pair of rawhide gloves, First Aid Kit and my "Tool Kit" (1/4" Sockets, Driver, Screwdriver (combo-type), Air gauge, small wrench set, magnet and dental mirror) which has also been with me since my First Truck. And I still have room leftover under there.
The rear cubby contains: Four Ratchet strap sets and a pair of 4 foot bungy cords.
Up Front: A spare USB cable, extra BIC pens and tablet paper(Small), 12 foot measuring tape.

One MUST Have!!! (Which I still need to replace).
A small container for ALL of the replacement "Bulbs" (194's 1056's 1057's etc.)
For the couple times over the past 40+ years driving, I have been stopped for a missing taillight. Only to surprise the Officer by replacing the burnout item, right there and then... ;)

I’m not talking about mods, I’m talking about flashlight, gloves, first aid kit, etc.
Jumper cables, basic socket set, pliers, duct tape, pack of zip ties. I'm going to be adding a car battery jumper like a NOCO and a tire inflator

From all the breakdowns I've been in in my life this is all that I've ever needed. If it's more than this, just call the tow truck

Jumper cables fit in the passenger side cubby in the bed. Not that I have a clue how to use them on my hybrid but since I had the cables.............
Works the same as a regular ICE. Hoping to hood, look for the positive post, clamp your red to it, clamp your black to the chassis, Tell the donor car to crank up

Car Jump Starter; Air Compressor Tire Inflator; tire air pressure gauge; Tire Repair Kit; First Aid Kit. All of this fits under the back seat. Or some could fit in the bed cubby.
Are you using a cigarette lighter type air compressor?

Thanks for the reminder, not enough here. Phone cable is all I have in the cab right now. Maybe my nice Harley D. tire gauge in the glove. NRS straps in the bed. That's it. Lots of good ideas here for me to consider.

I also wanted to put together a minimalist toolset. All I've used so far is a 10mm socket and a T-30 socket, so that's my start. It's a new car with free roadside. I don't think I need much right now.

basically this and a good medical kit, including a couple of tourniquets (I had a family friend that ran a farm and had a bad accident and a guy saved his life with a couple of TQs…so I decided to keep more than one in my trucks from then on.)

a couple of large heavy mil trash sacks.
small shovel (I go to beach a lot)
ear plugs
various types of gloves

Good suggestions. I've been lacking a first aid kit...should get one.

Were you a boyscout? You are well prepared! Thanks for reminders of what I should add, like the space blanket I took out of my last car.
