Time for my weekly ritual of sacrificing another brand of vehicle to the car god to help my chances for a build date tomorrow. Got to be careful tho I think the city is checking me out.

Anybody feel like Ford should just do away with the Round Robin for Hybrids, and go with date order received? It's not cool to see folks get build dates before those of us who have been patiently waiting since June and July. Saw one dude with exact build as mine order first week of Sept, and get scheduled 2 weeks later. I realize that would be a logistics nightmare to ship all around the country, so maybe select builds by region then? At least we'll know where we are in line. I mean c'mon man, even the DMV gives you a number to stare and compare with what's on the queue monitors as you waste away your day at their offices.
I kind of think one reason we might experience delays is we're in California, which has a ton of the hybrid orders. I would figure that logistically it would be better to build as many trucks going out to a certain location within the smallest time frame so you can load all the delivery vehicles at once. And since other states have less orders, it's easier to get those orders out of the way.

I'm not a logistics person, but keeping track of something like this would be a nightmare. I feel bad enough for the guys that have to do something like the NBA league season schedule. This is like a whole other level.

It's a great idea, but I'm not sure that's how mass production works.

So, should I get another confirmation from Ford when I make changes to my order?

I did not when I dropped the splash guards. I called the dealer and they also said I would not see an email from Ford.

No. I didn't get one after getting the splash guards removed last week.

I can totally wait for the truck that I want, especially if I'm ordering it to my exact specs. People switching engines just to get the Maverick faster might regret it later.

It's just annoying seeing people reserve Ecoboosts in September and get scheduled a week later.
I agree. I would rather wait for the truck I want than to order a truck I don't want just to get it sooner.

I just contacted my dealer for the first time since ordering on 8/21. (XLT hybrid with lux and 360 packages and moon roof.) At time of order they estimated early Jan. 2022 delivery. I told them I heard hybrid production was going more slowly, especially lux packages. I asked how much, if any, the estimated Jan. 22 delivery time frame has changed. The salesman "checked in to it" and got back to me the next day. He confirmed that my order is "delayed," but also said the time frame is "up in the air." He promised to contact me when they have an "update."

So, it almost sounds like orders like mine are "on hold" for an unknown period of time. Or else they just don't know much, period.

Yea I'm leaning either towards RHINO liner or linex. I tried Dualliner for the drop in, but they said no due to the fact that the Maverick is a compact truck and not full size.
I have a business and run about 10 service trucks they all have spray in bed liners the Rhino liners are junk ( 3 of the trucks have it) the line x and bullet liners are excellent they still look brand new after 5 years of abuse

Thank you. I'll check out the bullet liner too.

I'm getting discouraged.
Mine was supposed to start production on the 23rd.
It's stuck in production 😟
