As Mavericks occupy more driveways, carports and garages, most of us are thoroughly enjoying driving them. I know there are a few kinks yet to be worked out for some, but for the most part, they are a lot of fun to drive and we know they are popular when we look at lack of availability and ADM pricing. Thinking back on the vehicle the Maverick replaced, was there anything that you absolutely loved and do not have in your Maverick, or absolutely hated and do not have that problem with your Maverick?

I replaced a 2018 RAM Laramie 1500 and really miss the cooled seats, but hated the fact that with a big truck, I still only had 1' more cargo space compared to the Maverick. As I got older, I despised having to maneuver it into crowed parking lots, but have no problem doing so with the Maverick.

What about you?

I am driving a 2007 F150 5.4 Triton engine so yeah I'm not going to miss filling this up with gas once my Maverick comes. It's just too big. I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna miss a thing.

From my 04 Taurus, I do not miss how low it sat & how hard it was for me to get out of, which is why I bought a Maverick, I do miss the closed trunk of a car on occasion.

My previous ride was a 2019 Hyundai Kona EV. I miss not buying gas but I don’t miss the range anxiety on my 450 mile OW monthly trips! Yesterday on my drive south on I 95 I saw a Tesla on the side of the road with a tow truck. I knew the feeling because they can’t bring you a can of electricity to charge your EV and in GA/SC charging stations are few and far between!

Previous truck: 2016 GMC Canyon SLE extended cab V6. LIKES: that it fit inside my garage. The built-in step bumper. 7000 lb. tow capacity but I didn't tow. Solid built, no rattles. Sold it for what I paid for it after owning 6 years. DISLIKE: Came from factory mis-aligned, had to open the front door to open the rear in order to safely stash my tools. Hard to clean to the center of the windshield without a step. Couldn't reach over the bed to get most things so always had to climb into bed. High step up into cab. Cheap fabric upholstery, plastic door panels felt cheap.

I loved my 2018 Fait 500 with a Big Turbo, it was a lot of fun to drive. We just had too much snow this winter. The XLT Maverick AWD/FX4 is a very nice truck, and I like driving it.

Replaced a 2012 Forester. Which really was a fantastic vehicle that I had little regrets owning for most of it's life (bought off a standard lease turn in). 2 qualms with the Forester. It was a frigging rusty mess. Worse than my wife's Hyundai Sonata (also replaced). Exhaust was nearly rusted through, rear subframe also a mess, bleh. And the frigging rims. Jesus they SUCKED on that Forester. CONSTANT bead leaks no one could figure out how to fix. Good riddance to that problem.

I still have my F-250 crew cab. I like the fact that people don't tailgate me on the Interstates. I also like the elevated view.

Picking up my Maverick from the dealer Monday. I'm keeping my 2011 Ford Ranger XLT for a couple years. My Maverick gets the garage till winter.

I had a 2005 Ford Focus. I loved that it ran dependably, was cheap, and that I had put over 120k miles on it.

I hated that somebody stole it from me, and destroyed it.

Do I miss it? Yes and no. I run vehicles until I can no longer keep them going, so I probably had a few more years to go on it. I also miss the $24k that the Maverick cost me. I would not have bought it had someone not stolen the Focus.

But I really like the Maverick. I hope it is the last vehicle I ever have to buy.

If my Volt dies, we might become a one-vehicle family, or if that doesn't work, will probably buy an EV as the second vehicle.

Traded in a 2005 Tundra. Was the most reliable vehicle I ever owned. Went thru 3 exhaust systems, but that was over 18 years. It used lots of gas, esp in winter won't miss that.

I am hoping Ford has done their homework on reliability so I can just enjoy the ride for a long time.

Got a friend in Utah who drives a Tundra and does a lot of mountain driving. He said on a good day, he gets 11-12 mpg. Man, at today's prices that would kill me..

When I had my F-250 (crew cab, long bed, 4x4), people yielded the right-of-way which I thought was generous.

I don't have a Maverick of my own yet and still have my Nissan Frontier crew cab 4x4. Compared to the Maverick XLT Hybrid Lux that I drove for a few hundred miles, I do like the adjustability and comfort of the Frontier's power seat more than the Maverick's. The gas mileage is also a huge step up. My Frontier averages 15-16mpg on E20-E30. The Maverick gets more than double that.

Of course the Frontier has things that the Maverick lacks, such as part-time 4WD with a locking rear diff, and the ability to tow a car on a flat deck trailer. But as a daily runabout vehicle, I'd hands down get the Maverick XLT Lux hybrid.

Ordered Mav while I was overseas, when I came back and it didn't get built we bought a 2015 Civic. Miss the lower to the ground so easier to corner at speed, and right side camera when blinker is on.. That's it!

Mav gets better gas mileage, easier to step in/out, keyless entry works better, trunk is bigger, electronics are more refined.
