I received my Hybrid last June. Everything was good until February of this year my check engine light came on. I took it to the dealership and I'm going on 3 months and they still don't know what's wrong with it. Unfortunately I started the process thru Ford of the lemon law, because my truck has qualified for it. Keep a long story short I'm utterly disappointed with everything that has transpired with my vehicle. May 20th will be officially 3 months without my vehicle and my be longer, because they have no idea what's wrong and just fixing things.

Has anyone experienced this?

Stories like this amaze me. Has your dealer had a field engineer come out to work on it yet? If they haven't I would ask them why not. This should have been done weeks ago.

bare minimum the dealer should do is tell you the fault code so you could investigate on your own. Plenty of people post here the issues they have with their new mavs related to the fault codes.

Jeez…what is it with the hybrid models and all of these problems? I specifically ordered my truck with the turbo gas engine because I want it more power and was willing to compromise the fuel economy. I got lucky…zero problems since delivery last summer…

Exactly, I appreciate your comment... The sad thing they haven't reached out to me in over 2 mths...

Yikes. That is really poor handling of this issue. The sad thing is that if they had gotten a field engineer involved earlier a buyback could have likely been avoided.

surprised the forum mods didn't delete your post.... they are very touchy when it comes to criticism of the truck and or services performed

That’s the world we live in now with the no follow ups from their side. Learned if you want something to get done, you have to do all the work. You have to visit them weekly and contact them by phone constantly to get updates and to push them. You’d think it would be easy for them to contact a field engineer, but that’s just more work for them. You’ll have to demand the fault codes and do all the research and lead them in the right direction, because at this point they don’t care. Out of sight, out of mind.

Most hybrid owners are quietly enjoying our truck, with no problems.

So the check engine light is on. Is that the extent of your problem?
