I couldn't find where this had been posted before so here goes:
I ordered my 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid at the end of July, 2021. I purchased it on Oct 5, 2022. Between those dates, Ford Issued a memo to all dealerships about the price increase on Mavericks effective Dec 27, 2021. The memo states that "automatic price protection will be provided on firm 2022-model fleet, retail, and demonstrator orders signed and dated on or before December 26, 2021."
Because of this forum, I knew about this memo when I purchased the Mav on Oct 5 and asked the sales manager about it. He knew about the memo and said the dealership automatically submits a request for the rebate whenever a Maverick is purchased meeting the criteria and that I should get the rebate through the dealership in about 45 days. I waited about 60 days and stopped by to check on it. Yesterday I made my 4th trip to the dealership to see what the heck was going on. I spoke to the new sales manager who spoke to the general manager who said that the dealership has several 2022 Maverick owners waiting on the refund. So they said they would call Ford today to check into this mystery and call me with the results. Well, mystery solved - they found out that Ford has decided not to pay ANY price protection refunds to any Maverick owners!
I think I paid about $1200 or so above the quoted price when I ordered my Maverick and expected to get that amount back. I realize that amount might not mean a lot to some people but as a retired person and a Veteran, it does to me.
Anyway, if you are still waiting for a price protection refund from Ford - forget about it!
Sorry if this info has already been posted.
