I've got a light clunk myself. I wouldn't think it is coil bind though. No hard impact on the road generates any noise at all. It's only below 5mph turning in a parking lot that it makes noise...
Same I don’t think its the actual springs.

I actually disagree, I think it could possible be the spring itself. I know it don't sound right, but maybe. Maybe it is the wrong spring rate to work with the stock struts? I don't know but it is ANNOYING so many of us with EIBACH springs have this issue.

Maybe I’ve missed it but has Eibach addressed this in any meaningful fashion? It seems to me that they would have to take a look at their product since this seems to be a consistent issue.

I was ready to do suspension but this whole scenario has had me holding off.

Nope! Their R&D Mgr is on this forum and drives one of these trucks and all I have been told is my installer did everything right and that it could possibly be the end links need tightening more. They didn't, as we tried that and they were tight and wouldn't move anymore. Then I was told I could send them back to them to be tested, tested on what I don't know, but it would be all on my dime at this point. So they were basically washing their hands of it. That's why I went and bought the H&Rs. And to be honest, if their R&D mgr was the one who wiped the threads off of his struts taking his apart for different springs, I kind of don't have faith in him as a mechanic anyway. Mine have been taken out at least 3 different times and my threads are perfect.

Damn thats crazy. At this point I see enough of it that I would say it's beyond just some sort of install error.

Have you put your H&Rs on yet? Curious about those as well. If they're problem free thats probably going to be the move

Yea I wasn't thinking it would help though, hoping it would but didn't count on it. Springs came Friday, new strut mount bearings Thursday and the end links will be here Tuesday. One way or another we will figure it out.
Are you going to try to replace the Scales end links 1st? Then see if that solves the problem? Or do all at once?

Dang was planning to purchase Eibach lowering springs but will definitely hold off or go with another brand after all these reports of knocking noises.

Curious if any of you have a GoPro? Find somewhere to attach it to pointing towards the spring might help identify exactly whats going with with the spring when it knocks.

I will drop mine off Sunday with my installer and he will work on it Sunday evening and Monday evening after his day job. I am not sure what we will do first, I honestly don't think it's the end links or strut bearings. My installer is going crazy trying to figure it out too, but we may try the end links first that way if it does fix the problem, I can return the springs. I honestly don't expect the end links to resolve the issue though. It's weird because the HR Springs even says all the factory components must be used or it voids their warranty.

I can assure you, this isn't an install issue. My installer took pics and emailed all his work to eibach and even they said it looked right. He had multiple phone conversations with them as well.

We have a 2023 Maverick coming in the shop tomorrow for window tint and I plan to look at it to see what kind of angle the sway bar is in with the factory springs and compare it to mine. I will also look at the springs themselves to see if the coils are sitting on top of one another, like my Eibach's are.

On my H&R super sports there are 3-4 coils at the top of the spring that are touching each other at ride height. I think it’s very possible that we’re just hearing the springs shifting around.

You could be right, I am not sure at this point. Not once have I ran into this problem lowering anything.

Me neither but all my past cars were already low before I lowered them, Plus they have very stiff springs.

I don't have either of these springs yet, but the drop from stock on them look to be very massive and everyone seems to be saying they ride close if not same to stock. The only way to have soft ride is to have enough coils to ensure spring rate is similar, together with the big difference in ride height it could very well be the issue.

Which is why I suggested putting an action cam like GoPro pointing at the springs and just go out for a drive. Then by reviewing the footage you can see exactly what's going on with the springs when those clunks happen.

I will probably hold off lowering mine until this issue is fixed. 😅

So if the noise (pop, clunks, metal to metal) is consistent for those with this issue. After driving the truck for more than a week or so it should show some sort of wear and tear from what ever is making the noise?! That should give the answer of where is coming from.

temporarily add a bunch of tie wraps around the springs and see if it dampness the noise

Good idea, plus it would leave indentations on the zip ties or simply break them if springs come in contact. 👍

I get what you guys are saying, and yes, you would think it would show some wear somewhere on the springs. But, the noise/clunk/pop is only heard when going slow and turning, it does not do it all the time or driving straight down the road. Mine are getting pulled out Sunday evening, so we will see if they have some wear on them, but from what I can see by jacking it up and turning the wheel, there are no signs of wear.

The drop on the Maverick is a good amount for just springs, 2" is what is advertised but after settling I am sure some are getting over that. Most drop springs are usually about 1"-1.5" at most.
