You can by pass the pin by setting a custom trigger phrase such as "Start my car" and have your digital assistant say something like "ask FordPass to start by vehicle with pin ____"

You can also set up custom Routines (now called Automations) under Google Home to set custom trigger phrase.

I highly doubt it since Google Assistant fowards the command to reasonable apps in cause of FordPass and MyQ for example. But stuff like background data usage is most likely for notifications like deep sleep warning, which ironically most likely caused it. 😅
