Sure, I just jacked the front up so the springs would separate and smeared a thin coat of grease on the rubber sleeves. I used some bearing grease I had. I’m sure any grease will work. It was really just a shot in the dark cause everything looked good. I figured if it didn’t work just wipe off the grease and move on.
Thats true, I am going to put mine in the garage right now and give it a whirl myself. What do I have to lose right?

I hope it works out for you. Because I was pissed after I installed them and heard that noise. Sounded like a bad strut going over small bumps or when I turned.

Yup that's exactly what the sound is. It is a slight metal to metal clunk sound. I just jacked mine up and smeared lithium grease all over the sleeves. Mine aren't rubber though, they feel like plastic to me. If this works I might be a lil pissed as I ordered new springs, strut mounts and end links. I will at the very least put the end links on so I can get the sway bar to sit in the factory position. I can send the springs back.

Yeah I think you’re right they’re more plastic than rubber.

Any update on if it solved the noise issue?

Grease didn't fix mine. Noise first thing this morning when exiting my driveway.

Yea I wasn't thinking it would help though, hoping it would but didn't count on it. Springs came Friday, new strut mount bearings Thursday and the end links will be here Tuesday. One way or another we will figure it out.

Hello all, I joined the forum because I just found the thread. I too am trying to find out the source of the clunking /clicking sound from my driver side suspension after Eibach springs install. I torqued everything to spec numerous times and still am having the issue.

I have reason to believe the sound is coming from the Axle/ cv joint to the trans. But only on the driver side (it is shorter than the passenger side) There is alot of play in it when the car is jacked up.

I cant seem to find anything else. I'm stumped on a fix other than going back to stock.

I hope I'm wrong as I'm just as frustrated in the sound as I see some of you are. I'll be following more if anyone finds something else.

My sound is coming from both sides, so I don't think it's the CV joint. I'm going to get to the bottom of it one way or another. Mine does it more when cold and it sounds like something under pressure, i.e. spring itself. I am going to be more than pissed if I have to go back to stock. I hate the way these trucks look at stock height and I am not into leveling or lifting.

I don't think it's the CV joint because mine does it when parked. Mine also gets worse when it is cold.

Checking in another noisy one here, 22 XL FWD Ecoboost. Mine makes popping clunk noises when turning and also bumps at times. My first assumption was maybe the strut bearing were out of clock when installed, so I replaced both strut bearings, noise the exact same.

After rethinking everything, and listening when I drive. I think it is the springs. Out of all the lowering springs I've installed, Ive never had lowering springs that I needed to physically compress to install. The front eibachs springs may be the ultimate culprit. The coils compress real close together when truck is on ground and separate alot when jacked up. So when driving, one or more coils hit each other. What are any ones thoughts?

I've got a light clunk myself. I wouldn't think it is coil bind though. No hard impact on the road generates any noise at all. It's only below 5mph turning in a parking lot that it makes noise...
