Definitely a good idea and will help. Catch can to catch blow by will help also. Carbon build up is just an inherent downside to a direct injection engine. After awhile it will impact power. It's pretty noticeable on my RS4, probably not as much on an economy turbocharged motor. Would be interesting to shove a borascope down into the head and check it out at different mileage intervals.I have used CRC GDI intake valve cleaner on my wife's 2015 GDI Honda CRV every 10,000 miles. Spray it thru the brake booster vacuum line on the intake while keeping rpm around 2000. I think it works well. I have a Mav hybrid so I don't know where on the Ecoboost engine you
