Airbag Recall - Nightmare or just fine ?

I received a YETI mug today for the recall on the 2022 Ecoboost Maverick that I traded in 5 weeks ago.
So either the dealer or the new owner completed the recall.
Do I keep it?
What a moral dilemma So far no recalls on my new 2023 hybrid.

Finally got mine done after the dealer “lost” then “found” one of air bags. I’m so pissed with the results - headliner full of hand prints, headliner not installed correctly on the driver side, hybrid battery cover not installed laying on the back floor. Dealer provided pick up and delivery, unfortunately I was not a home when delivered and my wife did not know what to look for.

I called in December and January and they told me they would contact me when the airbags and parts were in. By the end of January, I called them. They scheduled my truck for Feb. 21, but did not have the parts in and did not call me to re-schedule.

Meanwhile, my Mav has been in their shop for fuel line problems and the air bag work since Feb 20th, and no ETA in sight. They claim to have everything except for the fuel line.

Wickstrom Ford in Barrington IL did a fabulous job with the recall fix. No problem with ordering the part and the wait time was minimal. I love the 18oz YETI Rambler bottle with chug lid. Thanks Ford! BTW, I just completed 1 year of owning my Mav Hybrid March 22, '22 - '23. I recorded all of my gas receipts for the year and the avg MPG came in at 35.43. Not bad at all.

Had mine done a few weeks ago. Other than leaving the cab dirty..and it taking the tech 5 hours...no issues. First time they had done this type of repair. Dealership tried telling me the tech would only be paid for 2 hours because that's what Ford will pay them....not sure I'm buying that the tech would not get paid for 3 hours but that's what they said.

Seems like all things customer oriented, it really depends on the dealer you go to whether you get a good or bad experience.

Not in any hurry to get mine done. Maybe sometime down the road, when somebody else owns it.

Had my air bags Done also finger prints all over headliner driver side trim hanging down rear seat not latched tools left behind not happy , 24,900 miles truck shaking and shuddering like cray at all speeds when accelerating . Trading truck in not happy .

Had airbag recall done. My dealership is pretty small. First one they had done, took 2 days. No issues when I got it back.
Did get the YETI.

Mines in today for airbag and a couple of other things. I OK ed them to use it for training so I may not get it back till tomorrow, Stopped in earlier and it MIGHT be done today. Dealer will let me know either way.

Lots of fingerprints all over the place- Can folks not use gloves ? Gotta date with blue coral and some elbow grease-Some upper headliner poking out- Weather stripping not seated- Had to get out door panel tools - Fun

I received notification of the airbag recall, scheduled a time at our dealer, took it in and left it for the day. At the end of day I called to check the status and was told they received the wrong parts and I would need to reschedule. About 6 weeks later I received a call that the parts were in and scheduled another day to have it completed. I dropped it off and about two hours later received a call from the dealer to tell me the air bag repair kit was missing 4 bolts. So, get four bolts that fit and get it done. Not that easy. Must be the OE spec bolts, not the Ace Hardware brand. It has now been at least three months since I was told I would receive a call when the 4 bolts were in stock. I am of the opinion that it is a long shot the problem is a 100% issue.

Anybody know why it's so bad that they need to be changed? The recall notice says displacement is 12mm more than it's supposed to be:

The displacement results for the front lower primary target was 111.9 mm which exceeds the federal regulation of 100 mm

What does this mean practically?
