I've been waiting 5 months for the airbags to come in for the recall. This is unacceptable. Anyone else having this issue?

Might be a blessing based on all the horror stories on this forum where folks that had theirs done got their trucks back with interior all scratched up and/or wiring damage that caused other issues. All for an airbag a milometer or so out of spec. But its your choice. Good Luck

Perhaps you're right. I'll have to look further into it.

Yes that's why I'm not having it done on my Maverick look at my bottom shield 😱. I can only imagine what the inside of my truck would look like No Thank You ⁉

I had to wait a long time. Every time I called the dealer they said they received most of the parts but not all...I think I waited 7 or 8 months.

I specifically told them NOT to do the airbag recall on mine when I had it in for the Wiring Harness and 23E09 emissions recall.

Mine was done last week, around six months waiting for the parts to arrive. No issues with the interior, took about a day and a half to complete even put me in a rental because it took over a day to complete.

Same here. My dealer was fantastic. He had no rental, so he drove me home (15 miles) and delivered my truck the next day. (Century Ford in Mt. Airy, MD.) Apparently, it is quite a task: the entire headliner must come out, and it takes 4 people to do it, one at each corner, to keep from breaking it. Good luck.

Dont have it done, I think the airbags didnt extend down like 2-3 mm more to meet government regulations. I doubt it even matters. They trashed my interior doing it, scratched steering wheel emblem. It took 2 visits to get them to fix everything, it was gone for 3 weeks.

So it’s better to not get your truck at all?
