58 when I ordered my Maverick, 59 when I picked her up, and now 60. I've had the F150, Ram 1500 and 2500, but wanted a truck and didn't want a "1/2 ton" truck. I have wished for a compact truck, having had many of the Toyota and Datsun/Nissan trucks of the late 70s and 80s.

I wish the maverick would come in a "king cab" version with a larger bed. But I like my truck.

I don't know... I got to think they targeted young 20 somethings with the price... ignored 30 and 40 year olds family types... then targetted my generation (mid fifties) with the car like driving (I' m so over the 5 speed manual, limited space of the jump seats, and 3" taller than spec of my Frontier XE). Would be interesting to see some studies at some point.
cars/trucks aren't built without a target buyers group in mind. If you look at all the advertisements for the Maverick the people in them are active millennials which would make sense, they are the up-and-coming generations. However, manufacturers will also look at other generations too. Honda was surprised when they did a study on the Element and the average buyer was. I believe this is the same thing with the Maverick, I see all age groups driving them.

Ford may have targeted the younger individual for this vehicle however like everything else they underestimated the sales of these vehicles and age of the purchaser .

Curious how all the videos show very young “buyers” on the promos. I am 64 and am exited to get my new little truck, just saying.
60 plus here. And I have a Hybrid and a Tremor ordered and coming :) lol

The element was marketed towards the active Gen X, but many Baby Boomers bought it too, as it was easy to get in and out of, carried a lot, was easy to park, and was economical to own. I feel every car/truck/SUV falls into this, the manufacture has a target audience but it gets expanded

The Element was also flat-towable, just like the Maverick Hybrid...so the RV group also purchased both and that group is generally 50+.

90 and counting😁😁 ordered 7/6/21 re scheduled production 1/24/22. xl full size spare spray in bed liner hybrid floor mats
Your the first person I found on this forum that's older then me. I'm 82, and ordered my hybrid Lariat the day before you. (7/5/21) Picked mine up on 3/9/22. It replaced my 2015 Hyundai Sonata, and my 2005 GMC Canyon. But I still drive around in my 1956 Thunderbird!

This is great, it makes me feel like a kid since I will just be 70 this year.

When I grow up I hope to have a '56 TBird like you!
