I think I will give Tower a shot for $35. If I can get even under 4% I'd be happy because thr best my credit union can do is 4.9

I'd call him Simon, but I certainly doubt that is the first one of the long, long string of his banned accounts. I just never respond to the troll directly.

Funny the talk of credit score. As many know (and many don't) its really a matter of three scores. They can vary widely based upon a number of factors. Most auto lenders use FIACO (and there are like 9 iterations of those), Transunion is next. As of today my FIACO is 743 and Transunion is 827. FIACO focuses heavily on any reported issues and credit history vs Transunion on balances, percentage, and recent payments (I believe from experience and what I have read).

I have a 4-5% credit usage monthly which I pay off. A 200k mortgage balance with 200k equity, and an auto loan of 13k with positive equity. My Transunion score is bumping the top, it's hard to get FIACO up if you don't play games...

Yes they have an option to donate 35$ for tower foundations as the last resort to be a member.

Those are really good rates. I might apply and see if I can get approved before my pickup date. At 2.99% I'd rather borrow than shell out $40k.

As long as there is no pre-payment penalty, you can take the dealer financing and refy at any time...

I got some bad Horsey Sauce at Arby's in '79.

I got a bad lunch at taco bell in 1995! Haven't been back since. And I know I'm not the only victim over the years HAHAHA!

How long from applying before they issued you a check?
Still waiting for my private offer to come before I start the process but on leasehacker I saw something around 10 Days. I'll report back once I finalize my car order with private offer

My CU quoted me 5.74% today. But that's before paying off a huge credit card balance (that happens tomorrow, 2/1). They stated they would re-evaluate the rate when my Tremor arrives for a possible lower rate.

I used NFCU for our Honda Odyssey and got like 3.4% if I remember right. The finance guy at Honda was telling me he could beat it. Of course he tells me this after I commit to using my NFCU loan. I wouldn't believe a word that guy was telling me. I've never gotten a fair rate from dealerships. NFCU or credit unions have consistently provided the lowest ARP. Consistently.

Here's my advice - get your loan together before going to pick up a truck. Unless you have a guaranteed rate for Ford Credit the scumbag finance manager will lie, add on percentage points, steer you to a company that gives them the biggest kickback. My credit rating is 850 and I literally had a credit manager two days ago tell me Ford Credit ( I told him I wanted to use them ) would only give me 8.5% rate but mechanic's bank would give me 7.5. I had traveled out of state to pick u so I didn't have many options. When I receive the registration I'm refinancing the loan for 4.0% I'm mad at myself for not getting a loan before going. A good rate with very good credit should be somewhere in the 5% range.
I just joined the local credit union, here in MN and as of 1/26 the rate w 5.99 percent up to 84 months with good credit
