So we have a maverick on order and we’re wondering what types of campers you are pulling and the weight. It is the 2.0 eco boost 4x4 with trailer tow. We would just like to get the thoughts of people that are towing them. Thank you. Marion

No truck yet. But we have a jayco 10sd popup. 1800lbs last scale weight. Removed water tanks and stuff we didn't use to lighten it up.

Mine is a Hybrid, so I do not plan on towing a camper. Instead, I plan to pull the Maverick behind my camper (a small Jayco Class C on the Chevy 4500 platform).

I've seen posts recommending Aerolite camping trailers. But if I were really thinking of pulling a camping trailer behind my Maverick, I'd lean heavily towards one of these CLC teardrop camper kits. They look really good, and seem well-designed.

I have a small Coleman popup that weighs roughly 1,000lbs that I’ve pulled with my maverick a few times. Probably, with all my gear and the water tank I’m hauling around 1,500lbs total. My maverick pulls it without any fuss and I barely notice it’s back there. I average around 21-23 mpg when I’m hauling

Do you have the 4k tow package, if you do its 4,000 lbs. if you dont its 2,000 lbs. a small popup would be ok without the 4k but you would need to make sure what ever you are getting is under that 2,000 capacity. it can tow slightly over but it will struggle and cause problems in the long run.

We will be picking up our Scamp (dry weight around 2600-2700 pounds) end of this month. I will give a report next month.

I was considering looking into a camper under the 4k limit as I'm getting to where I don't care to sleep on the ground much anymore. Now that we ordered a Bronco Sport as well, we'd likely be taking that to the hills over the Maverick. Gotta be under 2k for that and once you get that light what you get for the cost doesn't seem worth it. I'll probably just stick to cots and a tent but I love seeing the options on here. Might see something I just gotta have.
