  1. Idaho here....Southwest Idaho...

I've run Michelin Cross-Climate 2 for three winters now and LOVE them for all year. They are surprisingly good in the winter.
  2. All-Weather vs All-Season vs Winter Tires

This is the third winter for the Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires on my Maverick. I live in Idaho and see a proper four seasons and I love driving. These tires have been good in the summer, not as good as a dedicated summer tire but in line with good all-seasons. The winter is where these really...
  3. Maverick Lobo / ST Performance Street Truck Prototype Spied

If it has a manual transmission, I’m in.
  4. Survey: Which drivetrain/trim combo would you pick for MY 2025 (XL hybrid likely fleet only and no XL PHEV option)

Take the Focus RS drivetrain and put it in a Maverick. That is pretty much my dream. 350HP, AWD, manual transmission. Call it the Maverick RS. And yes, I still would put my lumber rack on it and use it for truck things, just with more fun. :)

I did not realize that was going on, but I hope you have fun!
  6. Towing a 3,204lb (dry weight) Cherokee Wolf Pup 16TS camper -- 2.0 Maverick EcoBoost handled it like a champ!

That sounds like a great setup and I hope you really enjoy it. WDH for the win. :)
  7. At The Limit : Min-maxing, or a game of compromises - [Epic Trailer Towing Roadtrip Montreal <---> SoCal]

Great write-up and attitude with all responses. This is a great example of a forum like this being used well. Nice job estimating and confirming with real measurements. If I may, I think there is one more important thing to “measure”; if you feel in control when towing. I have had experience...
  8. Hybrid Maverick Lariat tows 3500 pounds

I believe the limiting factor at 113F is actually the batteries. Lithium batteries (both lithium-ion and lithium-iron-phosphate) have an operating temperature range that is roughly the same as a human being; freezing to hot summer temps. More technically, lithium cells have a high temperature...
  9. Reika R30 Drifter wheels + 245/65 Nitto Nomad Grappler tires + HRG 1.5” lift kit -- installed pics

Yeah, I saw you post those and I wish I had a use for them. :)
  10. Camper towing -- what types of campers you are pulling and their weight?

Yeah, I threw that in for shock value. That was a one time 10-minute tow across town on 40mph flat roads in perfect weather. But it sure makes for a great picture eh? :)
  11. Maverick w/ 4K Tow Package towed 3 different trailers in 9 days over 3500 miles

FYI, I’ve had pretty good luck with these on our Armada. I believe they would work on the Maverick. Fit System 3891 Deluxe Universal Clip-on Trailer Towing Mirror You can find them for about $36 each at your favorite online mega retailer. :)
  12. Maverick w/ 4K Tow Package towed 3 different trailers in 9 days over 3500 miles

@MavDave, great write up. It was both informative and fun. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us. :)

    I’m interested!
  14. Weight distribution hitch

A WDH is actually not quite the same as more rear spring. Both springs and WDH will pick up the rear end. However, a WDH actually moves some of the weight to the front axel of the truck, which is useful for stability. Some WHDs also provide built-in friction to combat sway. The Fastway E2 is one...
  15. Weight distribution hitch

@JimParker256 and @GPSMan, thank you for the thoughtful input, seriously. Though I don’t come to the same conclusion, I appreciate the good discussion. :) One note regarding tongue weight, I believe a WDH actually reduces the tongue weight as felt by the truck. The fact that a truck squats less...
