For me, the Tacoma must be hybrid and must not be too expensive.
Toyota makes hybrids that cannot be flat-towed behind a motorhome, so I suspect any hybrid Toyota truck would have the same limitation. Gotta wait for my Maverick...the only flat-towable hybrid truck.

The regenerative brake system difference is the issue I believe, but it may just be transmission differences.. My C-Max Hybrid tows easily (as does the Fusion Hybrid and the recent Escapes), but you absolutely cannot flat-tow a Prius Hybrid.

Why wouldn’t you just use a tow dolly to get the front wheels of a Toyota hybrid off the ground?

One less thing. Plus, with flat towing, you can use the towed vehicle's brakes. Many RVers will 100% but a car based on whether it can be flat towed. That's why the Jeep Wrangler is so popular in that community.

Only if you want a dolly to have to mess with/store/etc. I've always bought vehicles to flat tow so there is no other piece of equipment to mess with. There are many RVers who've discovered the Maverick for this purpose. Lighter than my Wrangler, but just as easy to tow....whenever it gets here.

I am a cancelled Hybrid XLT 2022 rollover that was skipped over last week :( I was trying to get an estimate on how many others might be in my situation....

Is anyone else a 2022 rollerover at Priority #2 that DID NOT get an email, build date, Ford chat confirmation about scheduling?
Yes, ordered 9/10/21 have had 5 different build dates....now nothing

Agree 100% the reason for my hybrid purchase. Also the fact it’s well below 4000 lbs. I think it’s going to be a popular flat tow vehicle for RV’ers.

Several of us with Leisure Travel Vans have ordered/received Mavericks as the Sprinter chassis and the Transit chassis (mine) have generally limits in the 4000 lb range. Maverick is perfect at less than 3800 lbs.

I have a Class A with a 5000 lbs towing capacity, but wanted some breathing room and the Hybrid fits bill. Plus the great gas mileage will help make up for the poor mileage on the Class A gasser. 😁

Just got my 45 day email. They could have at least let me hope until Friday....
I think the 45 day emails are just automatically generated no matter what until it is hard scheduled. I got the 45 day email on my Bronco Sport then got a scheduled email two days later.

Is this your second 45 day email on a MY23?
