Just great... Definitely not the news I want to hear. I ordered AWD Fx4 and Tow package. I NEED a hitch on all my vehicles. The Maverick is not much use to me if I can't tow my jetski or dirt bike. If Ford can't build it then Toyota better hurry up and announce their model very soon.
Toe hitches are available on several sites and easy to install.

Costs for aftermarket hitch is way more than $100 to get one and installation has to be done.

If you look at my signature below you will see that my MY23 Maverick ordered with the hitch is replacing my current MY22 Maverick that is missing the hitch.

Wow, only half of the 2023 hybrid orders are going to be built. The other half will get cancelled and rolled over to 2024.
At the time I ordered a '23 hybrid Lariat, 9/15/22, my dealer warned me hybrid orders would greatly exceed capacity. With a prioirty 19 on my order, [lowest priority] he guessed I would be getting a hybrid in '24. I have a copy of the dealer order sheet with order number, an order confirmation email from Ford and am receiving apologetic emails from Ford for supply chain delays. So to drown my sorrows my wife suggested I find a '22 on a lot somewhere. I found a 2.0L EB version, color and all, of what I ordered, paid the SoCal sunshine premium of $1795 over sticker for "mandatory" dealer add-ons and after 550 miles, am not regretting it. If my hybrid Lariat ever comes, I can take it or leave it as my dealer did not require a deposit, nor did they give a price guarantee. And at the rate Ford is removing content, I may not want it anyway. My '22 was an August 22 build and they removed the digital temp setting display from the dual A/C controls but it has 4G. Go figure. Overall it is a joy to drive. My 2016 V6 GMC Canyon rides like a....truck.

My understanding based on a prior post on this forum is the factory hitch is welded to the rear bumper cross beam. That cross beam is bolted to the unibody. I suppose someone could get a quality shop to weld a hitch to the existing cross beam. To bad Ford only offers a 4 pin electrcial with the hitch unless you purchase the tow pkg [AWD and 2.0L required] because in California, trailers 1500lbs and over are supposed to have brakes. I plan to tow a 1350lb T@G teardrop camping trailer and that company is now equipping it's new models with electric brakes.

Per Tim’s talks, “There will be NO 2024 rollover options by Ford”

Here we go again. When is Toyota coming out with its small hybrid truck? At this point that will probably hit my driveway before one of these do.
Very remote chance they make an announcement this coming June, at their big annual event, but complete unknown, and even if they do a reveal, it's probably a 2025 model, not a 2024 with production in late 2023. Others making noise about jumping into small trucks, but so far just noise.

To me that sounds similar to the "if you have a VIN, you WILL be built" 🤣
Technically is wasn't from Tim. The memo for the unscheduled orders and private offer from Ford says it.

So was "if you have a VIN, you WILL be built" Tim was Ford's voice.
