I've just accepted it as a quirk of a built to cost hybrid lol. The emissions recall reduced it, but it still does it occasionally. Like most others, I notice it the most when the engine is cold. I'm not worried about it personally.
I'm closing in on 14k miles, and that transmission is one of my favorite things about my mav. There's absolutely no lag with power delivery, no hunting for "gears", etc. Just all around smooth.
Same here, the tires great in the snow, and surprisingly great on ice too. Low rolling resistance for a snow tire too, if it weren't for all the warm up time, I'd always be over 40mpg with them.
I can second this. I've never had a point where I've needed more power, and over the last 11k, I've had pretty much every situation that you'd need more power in normal driving. The performance is perfectly acceptable IMO.
I'm glad you're enjoying that mpg! That's the main thing that impresses me the most, it's versatility/efficiency/price combo is literally unbeatable for most people. Almost every time I turn the key off, I'll say what the mpg for the trip was and chuckle "in a truck". Makes my wife laugh every...
You know, I've looked mine over pretty well over the 11 months I've had it, and I do get very strong future rust bucket vibes. There are gaps and salt catching areas everywhere you look. My dad used to drive those old Subaru brats, and those things all rotted away 🤣 time will tell.
That really sucks 😕 At least it's mostly minor. You'd probably have to talk to your dealers part department, I don't think there's anything aftermarket yet.
