They use the same hitch hardware. The 4K has added wiring and drivetrain/engine changes but the actual hitch is the same.

Or at least that is what was relayed to me.
My understanding is the Hybrid and FWD only Mavericks use a Class II hitch vs. Class III in 4k tow packages. I have Class III on my Maverick with the tow package. Class II has a smaller receiver so people can't exceed recommended towing weight limit. I have not personally seen a Hybrid or FWD only Maverick to verify, but there was a time early in MY2022 ordering where Ford removed 4K tow package from FWD Mavericks and generated spirited discussion here. Here's some info below showing differences between Class II and Class III. Based on tow ratings provided, my assumption is/was you only get the smaller Class II hitch unless you have ECOboost, AWD, 4K Tow package. YMMV.

Class 2 vs Class 3 Hitch
Class 2 hitches have a 1-1/4" receiver and generally only go up to 3,500 lbs. GTW. On the other hand, class 3 hitches have a 2" receiver and can range up to 8,000 lbs. gross trailer weight.

You have to provide a lot more info about when you ordered and if you've been given a VIN, etc. in order to get the right answer.
2023 Hybrid Lariat order and do not have a vin. Just put my deposit down when the order banks were open in September. Got the email the other day saying they will update me in 45 days. Need for work and I really don't want to wait a year. 4-5 months would be okay.

Well, if mine gets pushed to MY24, thats fine. Should be able to pay cash for it then.
Well, I ordered in Oct 2021 and still no Maverick. The long waiting time has given me a chance to save each month. What I have saved and what I was prepared to pay for a down payment, now I'm ready to pay cash. Ford missed out on finance charges. Just need the vehicle now. Bye bye Ford Finance. You had your chance.

With no VIN, no rollover offer, etc., I would suspect a major problem at the dealer level a year after the "order". Way past time to call Ford and ask if you have an order in process with them. 1-800-334-4375.
I have visited my dealer several times, went through the reorder process, verified COVP, got the private offer email, everything seems good, no issues that I can tell, just not picked to be built yet, back in August even my dealer said they can’t believe it hasn’t been scheduled yet, seems like Ford just has a huge backlog, including EBs.

Seems more like your dealer doesn't have allocations.

I think you have plenty of time to make changes then.
There are supposedly 6,900 of us (2022 Hybrid cancellations who had VINsto be inserted at the front of the 2023 line soon. The very lucky folks with NEW 2023 orders are essentially getting blessed as Ford needs to keep the lines running and can't wait for the system to get us cancelled orders started...but they know who we are, and I imagine by December 1st or so, we'll be getting our Priority 2s started heading for production. I'd try to make whatever changes you want before al that unleashes after the 11/30 deadline for cancelled orders. I'd not count on your order appearing in 4-5 months, since you got the 45 day memo rather than the surprise VIN. But it's possible.

Kinda feeling like this rn ngl. Maybe if Ford opens the EB order banks and allows engine changes I might do it
I have a FX4 order …but I think the tremors will end up being built quicker overall. I mostly didn’t order it because the colors I want don’t come on the tremor

I didn't order it because I'm thinking I'll enjoy the fuel economy more...but it was a hard decision, the Trem looked so good in Avalanche Grey with the black trimmings and orange accents

I want the hybrid for the mpgs, but I drive mostly highway for work so maybe switching to the awd Ecoboost wouldn't hurt as much. I drive 2500+ miles a month for work and get paid per mile.

yeah I am actually downgrading a lil. I have a 22 xlt awd, FX4, CP360, full size spare and soft fold tonno.

going to 23 xlt awd BAP and nothing else. I am going for the old skool mini truck theme once it's done.

The hitch? Really? They could outsource that from anywhere. Find that hard to believe.
