I'm not a fan of the black rims at all. I like them to have more pop, so the carbonized gray is better for me. I currently have gunmetal gray. The thing is, I could sell the takeoffs and get exactly what I want and basically offset the cost, so the 1645 would be a waste.

I can tint the badges and tail lights for about $150. I can replace the orange center console piece for probably $50, or just remove it altogether. I like the other orange accents inside the truck. Plus I'm going to get seat covers ($150) that are more like vinyl or leather so it doesn't matter what color they are, I don't like cloth. The mirrors, grill and door handles are already black. I'm looking at about $400 or so aftermarket instead of the $1645.

The only real benefit to the BAP package for me would be the all black interior (and it's not even all black) because replacing all the trim would be a pain in the ass. Now if I was going to use the seats in a black color and wanted the black rims, it might be more justifiable, but still, anybody can switch out the rims and sell the takeoffs and it's almost a wash, unless you are buying really expensive ones. I'm glad you're able to 'ghetto' out your truck lol
I can’t stand the orange. Why make the only interior option have orange it. I mean one of the worst colors on the map and you stick it in a vehicle. Ughhh

That is one possibility.
From the data, people want hybrid trucks.
I think it is two-fold, People wanted the hybrid truck BUT they wanted it at that low price as well. Ford offered it but couldn't figure out the demand that they would generate. MY24 here we come.

Given that the option set is undersold that's my thinking as well: a loaded Lariat hybrid might have better odds than a Hybrid XLT so Ford can use those components.
Well I have a Lariat Hybrid with tons of options on it so you just made me have a good day. Cloud with the silver lining, I mean HPR lining.

Wouldn't it have been much easier for Ford to have designed a steel rear bumper with a hole in it for a ball like they used to? That way each one would have it if needed.
A receiver hitch is the only way to go. More tounge weight and connection to frame is waaaaayyyyy better than hanging on the bumper.

I have a lariat Lux tremor order in for 2023 but heard nothing to date. Was kind of hoping with more capacity and less orders I might have heard something by now :(

If I had paid attention to all the constraints that have been talked about in the past that are no longer constraints, I'd have a Maverick with no paint, no tires, no motor or transmission, let alone a dozen other things that we were told to remove from our orders we would have a body up on blocks and nothing more. I ordered a hitch, and I will wait until 2025MY if I am still alive by then.

The orange is what sold me on the Maverick and the fact that they took away some of the orange on my Tremor interior seriously has me bummed. I prefer bold color to everything being blacked out.

I am a Dodgers fan living in SF Giants territory. So I have extreme hate for orange. Lol

My theory has been that ford makes very little profit on the hybrids, but use them to meet the cafe standards numbers for selling more expensive larger trucks. They know what the target number of hybrid mavs to make is to off set the numbers for the larger trucks that have more profit, and that is all they need to make.
We may also learn that it is likely Ford pays Toyota licensing fees on its hybrid drivelines which further eats into profit. This was the case on CMax hybrid back in 2013-2015.
Going to hang in as it is a hybrid or no Maverick for me. Hang in there for the hybrid until you have to make the jump.

I can't stand the orange center console and cup holder orange, but the orange on the AC vents is a nice highlight. The door handles are eh, but I think I can probably replace those too. I also don't like the orange stitching or the multicolored seats, but I'm going to put seat covers on so that doesn't matter.
