My last day of work, after 48 years of working, will be December 15 2023....could you just get it to me by then, Ford? Please?
Same here. Retiring on 12/15 after 54 years of work. Ordered 9/17 and I hope to see it maybe, by the summer.

I've been through 34 M.Y. balance outs and will say I'm glad they're not building mine just now.
Balance out is an opportunity for what the bean counters call strangely enough re-balance. That's where they try to get more done with less manpower. It usually involves the shifting of tasks around to find a cheaper end result. Add to that any new parts or proceses. Effected workers have to learn their new job on the fly and sometimes mistakes are made. Stress levels are high all around.
So, be happy yours isn't in the first MY23 weeks production. It's a whole week of Mondays.

PS they'll be doing it again at XMAS :ROFLMAO:

So next week they plan to fill production schedules for the rest of the year. But they are not even announcing plans for canceled my22 orders until the end of October (vaguely).

So they are either
  1. Scheduling only ecoboost
  2. Not actually prioritizing canceled orders
  3. Figuring out the my22 cancellations now and rolling them into this week's Scheduling
My gut says it's likely a combo of 1 & 2. In 2021 I would have thought option 3 was possible... @Ford Motor Company are you ready to surprise us with good news?

The waiting continues...
I am under the assumption it is 1. They can’t prioritize canceled orders until they actually start building hybrids again and i see no indication that will happen this year. Until it does they will just build EBs.

Since they have effectively cancelled 7000 22my hybrid “scheduled” orders, I would say Yes, completing all remaining 22my ecoboost orders should be very achievable barring massive constraints. Just a guess.

ANY hybrid orders will continue to be pushed-back into ‘23 for several months I’m afraid. Let’s be optimistic and believe that they will begin scheduling cancelled hybrids in December ahead of all other hybrids. The most in any given month that they can produce is 35% based on the hybrid drivetrain constraint. At that pace, it will 3 months just to produce the 7000 cancelled 22my hybrids. That is Februar, maybe March. So for some to say it won’t be until March that they see their “22” hybrid is very realistic and probable. In fact it will probably be April. For me that would be 18 months.

If Ford is to be believed (lol) and they actually schedule and build all 22my cancelled hybrid orders before any truly new 23my hybrid orders, the soonest anyone with one of those orders would see their build would be April or May, probably June. Obviously any stripped down hybrid build will (should) take precedence.

Thanks for reading. Subject to twice daily change by Ford. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
Maybe not. Yes, its looking like they will be building straight EcoBoost for a month or more. But hopefully they are saving up Hybrid parts during this time for when they start building them.

There have been multiple reports from Ford support that the transmisson is the current holdup on Hybrids. But I doubt the eCVT is the component that limits Hybrids to 35%. More likely it is the battery or electronics / microchips that are constrained. The eCVT is more likely a temporary quality issue that will be resolved and then they may be able to catch up.

So after the straight EcoBoosts are build for a while, they may be able to produced more than 35% Hybrids.

If you assume MY22 production will be done by 11/6, then you have the 11/7 week shutdown for model year change over, week of 11/14 for testing and week of 11/21 to begin MY23 retail order builds.
Just great.....were the guinea pigs for 23MY!!! (wk of 11-14 ) 🤣

Agreed, the poll of 22 EB orders showed 7 trucks for the 11/7 and 11/14 week. That doesnt make sense if the week of 11/7 is now closed, presumably for the switch over to my23. Maybe those orders will get moved up to the week of 11/4?
I was told I was bumped to week of 11/7 via the standard bump email this past Tuesday. I then chatted with Ford Thursday and found I was already bumped again, this time to the week of 11/14. I assume the reason I was bumped twice in one week is that they did not decide to idle the plant for the week of 11/7 until after the emails went out to people last Tuesday.

Something that DOES seem weird (maybe) on this chart is that it doesn't mention that any of this is for 2023 production. You do see that noted for other models (look at the Mustang). So all this November and December scheduling this coming week is in fact for remaining 2022's? That would burn the idea that the idle week of 11/7 is to ready the line for 2023. Unless they run a week of dealer stock 23's then go back to customer 22's for the rest of November and December. Which doesn't seem logical. So either the chart labels aren't totally accurate, or Ford is idling the line for some other reason.

My XL 22my ordered 11/3/2021 had low constants but still had to be reordered.
Ordering an XL did not make it come any quicker as I thought it would, Ford does not think this way.
Ford will do what Ford wants to do.
A Maverick order is a testament to a customer' s fortatued...and to management's
disfunction.

Uncle....... Uncle !!!!!
"According to the FARLEY Dictionary of Idioms, to cry (or say) uncle means to admit defeat and/or plead for mercy, especially in an informal physical contest of some kind."
