Wow, you'd think with how much demand the 2022's had Ford would have gauged the 2023's. You always hear about chip shortages and this and that, but it doesn't stop them from cranking out the F150's...I guess F150's don't have chips or constraints like Mavericks...
The F-150 is Ford's bread and butter for revenue. Even still a lot of those 45,000 vehicles Ford has announced will be sitting for Q3 awaiting completion are probably F-150s.

Should I delete the rubber floor mats from both my eb and hybrid MY23 orders to increase my chances of getting them? Or won't the floor mats really matter (ie not a constraint)?

Oh okay, yeah if you just look at the number of trucks they sell its a big disparity. It's a shame Maverick seems to get put at the back of the line with parts with such huge demand. I guess for Ford it's a good problem to have.

I would cancel them and any other accessory that you can order from the parts department. Even if they are not a constraint now they could be later on and cause a problem.

Can you verify this information?

I just got off the phone with ford customer Service and they told me to call my dealer because my 22 rollover order was messed-up.
I replied "I didn't order a 22 Maverick!"

The bad part about it is that I had called my salesman one hour ago and challenged him on the "No email = No COVP" thing, and he said "No, it all looks good, I received the order approved notification".
So somebody's full of crap!
I'll try to handle this tomorrow. Thank God I switched my order to an ecoboost. I think Hybrid orders close at 10 eastern tonight.
UPDATE: My order is Good!
This morning, I decided to make a second call to Ford Customer Service(800-392-3637) to verify last night's bad news.
This morning's Ford C.S. guy told me that the order is correctly entered and awaiting the next step! This latest Ford C.S. guy was very nice, and coherent - so I'm good with that!

If I would have known about the Ford Customer Service and the order code/sales code order confirmation, I wouldn't have ordered an identical unit with dealer #5 yesterday. Both orders are showing that they are are good to go!

I will offer the 2nd Maverick to my son and my ex-wife(best friend), in that order. If I can't talk sense to either of them after letting them drive it for a day, I will likely offer it to uncle Carvana, and retire, again!, lol.
I could have never endured this ordering CLUSTER without Tim, Johnny, and the MTC Forum, Thanks to all!

The dealer I placed my order through in the Sacramento area told me no ADM over MSRP and no deposit required. I did have to sign a document confirming my order but it explicitly stated that the buyer has the option to not purchase the ordered vehicle for any reason.
I fully anticipate an ADM when the order arrives and if that happens I will absolutely decline the purchase. Still, I'm not sure I even want the vehicle. I built the XLT but think I would have preferred the Lariat if I do want the truck.
I have never owned a truck of any kind and thought it was cool when I rode in one but am not sold on it. It sounds like I will have a lot of time to think about it and am confident that the dealer will have no trouble selling it should I decline.
Buy the Truck!
Drive it for a year, and then trade it off for what you want. I don't think you will lose any money on it!!!

So would Ford stop a dealer from submitting more orders than Ford would be willing to deliver to that specific dealer?
No, they won't stop them but recommend not to take more than their allocation would allow. The problem is that Ford can't give the dealers that number. When they told us to watch how many orders we are placing, we ask for our number and they couldn't tell us. We based our orders on our 2022 sales plus the vehicles that are in production and allowed for ramped up production for 2023 since 2022 was a startup year.

You can order a 23 Ecoboost until 10pm eastern, tomorrow night!
Anybody know a great dealer in Las Vegas?
Im in vegas, went to Ford Country. Ford CS said that my order is processing. But no official email from Ford that many people mention in this thread

I'd immediately go to the dealership and ask for order verification!
Your dealer knows what is happening with your order.

Ford Chat tells me that I am in “In Order Process”. What more do I need to know or do, or make sure is done correctly by my dealer. I’m sure this is in some thread somewhere- sorry for the repeat question!

So you might want to check with your dealer if they have enough allocations to fill your order. I just asked my dealer if he had COVP for my order he said they had until October to do that which agrees with the info earlier in this post but he floored me when he said Ford only told them the number of allocations they would be allowed the day before it closed and they have almost that many 22 orders to fill. In other words, although I got the order confirmation email from Ford I may not be getting it filled since they allocated so few to my dealer. I wonder if this is going on with all the dealers!

That seems like a totally reasonable methodology. Are you attempting to get any clarification from Ford on the apparent discrepancy (That some dealers apparently have between what they expected to be allotted)?

They are in talks about the system at headquarters and will be getting back to us to exactly how they plan to give allocations. They realize that changing it on dealers during the launch of the order banks wasn't the right thing. I have faith they will make it right to the dealers that have worked hard in 22MY and help customers and delivered Mavericks. Dealers that didn't pay attention and didn't think it was a model worth marketing should not be reward allocations. They need to base it on sales in last 12 months like they do for all other model lineups.

You may have discussed this somewhere else. But isn't the allocation system a tad circular? Have to get allocation to sell trucks in order to get allocation to get trucks to sell?
