Horsham ran into issues last year with Jeep side. They had discounts on hot trucks like wrangler 392, ram trx. Tons of people ordered and then they played games and refused to sell to those customers. That's what a few friends told me.

Maybe the same issue arose with Ford dealership, when it came to mavericks and Broncos. Likely customer orders were not sold to those customers and resold with adm to retail customers.
I'm almost positive that's what happened, but it seems that's what almost every other dealer was doing also. Customer orders that weren't picked up by the original buyer gets marked up by the dealer. Maybe they had a higher percentage of people not picking up their orders. Whether that should be the fault of the dealer or not, who knows. Unless they purposely got customers to not pick them up so they could mark them up.

Technically it was only a 2-month stretch (0 in May & 2 in Jun), but they'd also seen a decrease in Mar & Apr when others were seeing a ramp up. But then they got a big bump back to their normal baseline in July, followed by a dramatic drop-off again in Aug.

I don't know what to think at this point, other than I am likely never getting my Oct 2021-ordered hybrid.
Yes, that's what I meant. There was a steep drop off compared to everyone else. I'm calling a bunch of dealers now as a backup plan. I was hoping my local dealer that I have the other order from would put me as a higher priority but they won't. They have almost 700 orders in already so no way I'm getting at the end of that.

Then that likely is reason for limited allocations. Didn't Ford talk about cutting those down for dealers who play games? I would look elsewhere for those who need to enter orders.

I'm wondering now if every dealership received one of these emails, I ordered from a salesman I actually used to work at the same dealership with, not sure if he's privy to this info but if he is maybe he'll share it with me.

Doesn't seem like something they would normally share, however if it impacts the likelihood of receiving your order then they should give you some insight into the numbers.

This is for Horsham, anyone call Ed at the Philly location to see what his allocations are?
I called earlier this morning and was told Ed was "working from home", still hadn't answered my email for the 22-23 conversion order changes from thursday, I'm sure he's swamped with order updates

My theory is they are causing fear so people order the same build at other dealerships in hopes they get delivered there first so they can sell the car customers don’t take from them with a markup. This way they can provide ford with proof people just didn’t take delivery.
Could be a real image but maybe an error and they are using to their advantage.

I have an order with them and if this is true about their allocations I’ll be pissed and it will cost ford a lot of goodwill

Your better off hedging your bets and putting in another order elsewhere just in case.

Maverick deliveries started a bit slow and ramped up through the last model year IIRC. It still confuses me as to where initial allocation is going, considering the playing field should have been fairly even.
Id like to know where the fleet orders fall into all of this. I think this is something most consumers ignore with the demand but ford surely does not...especially when they are ordering 100s at a time. I have seen many white fleet mavs in the wild over this past year. Also the exports to other countries might have more margin, just hard to say what Ford is thinking but you can be assured it is to make the most profit and not necessarily to please individual consumers.

The rules of this game are going to change 15 times if they change once as all this plays out. What applies today does not seem to apply tomorrow. First we hear allocations matter, then we hear they do not, then we hear they do. Then we hear COVP matters, then not so much, then it does. Dealers will get a one week notice of order cutoff, nope, maybe one day, nope, who knows.

:ROFLMAO: :) :p Honest to God, one cannot make this stuff up.

Not sure that is universal. My dealer has a new waitlist for anyone who can't get their order in on time. They will be called first for any stock or failed retail trucks. They are advertising sticker or below on all trucks and I've never seen feedback or evidence they have ever marked up a vehicle.

But as I've stated before, my dealers makes a lot more money in the garage. They have 10 quick service and eight large truck/RV bays. Marking up the vehicles for a quick buck likely just isn't worth the effort to them.

That's why I said almost all dealers. There are a few that don't but for every one you find that doesn't there will be 9 that do mark up including the reputable dealers on the MTC. It's just the way the market is.

Fair. I used a different dealer for my Escape and I wouldn't put it past them.
