My local in town dealer told me a similar story when I went in Friday. I was told their allocation was 35 for the year and they wouldn't take my order. So I found another dealer that would take my order that same afternoon and they laughed the allocation story. Not sure who to believe but I have an order in at least with confirmation.

Whats with all the "..." after each sentence. Not like her previous emails. Seems strange.

After reading into the email, the
11 allocations are “Estimated “
Maybe there is still hope!

This is for Horsham, anyone call Ed at the Philly location to see what his allocations are?

I feel like they might be confusing theie first month allocation with their entire model year allocation. Would be a weird thing to make a mistake about......but would make a lot more sense. 11 for a month is not great, but also not horrible.
No, it's horrible. Their 60 roll overs eat up like 6 months worth of allocations in that scenario. It could be allocations for the dealership rather than custom orders, who knows that this point?

I just forwarded the email to Ed for his take. Haven't heard back yet.

Does anyone know if this dealer was doing anything shady with the MY22 run? I know Ford had announced they were going to come down on dealers padding their orders.

Not sure, but there was a 3-4 month stretch that they had ZERO allocations and we wondered if they had been dinged for something they weren't telling us about.

From past experience, Ed treats info about number of orders and allocations as "company proprietary" and won't share it with you.

Something to keep in mind, most dealers allocations should go "up" each month even with this wacky formula. Maverick deliveries started a bit slow and ramped up through the last model year IIRC. It still confuses me as to where initial allocation is going, considering the playing field should have been fairly even. But I do think those dealers with a lot of Maverick orders will see allocations increase as the months pass and the formula uses more recent data (which reveals much higher deliveries made).

Somewhat unrelated, but that should mean a place like Granger (who did not take new orders) should guarantee existing orders get filled, and then Granger will be left with allocations but no more retail units to build, which means dealer stock, while other dealers cannot even get all of their retail orders built! I'm starting to think Granger was really onto something here..

Fascinating. So, there is a history with this dealer. Nice of them to tell their customers the day the orders close. I'm sure they were sitting on this for a few days.

Not buying it. Maybe because I do not want to. :ROFLMAO:
No, I'm fairly certain you aren't buying because there won't be one built for you. Not enough allocations, says right there. ;)

Horsham ran into issues last year with Jeep side. They had discounts on hot trucks like wrangler 392, ram trx. Tons of people ordered and then they played games and refused to sell to those customers. That's what a few friends told me.

Maybe the same issue arose with Ford dealership, when it came to mavericks and Broncos. Likely customer orders were not sold to those customers and resold with adm to retail customers.

Technically it was only a 2-month stretch (0 in May & 2 in Jun), but they'd also seen a decrease in Mar & Apr when others were seeing a ramp up. But then they got a big bump back to their normal baseline in July, followed by a dramatic drop-off again in Aug.

I don't know what to think at this point, other than I am likely never getting my Oct 2021-ordered hybrid.
