You can count me in the "not getting price protection", and I live local to them. I did get 4% under FINAL invoice. It was lower than original MSRP, BUT $800 higher than original price. This was even after confirming in December (price hike) my original price. And its not the $800, but the principle.
I don't even get why this would happen if you had price protection in Vincent :(

This lines up with my experience and the price protection that I actually received on my lariat in May
Ordered mine on 7/14, confirmed 7/16. No changes, still no price protection. Now, it could be that if they gave me price protection, I would not get the 4% under invoice. Again, this was not communicated to me and that is one thing Horsham is HORRIBLE, communication.

Exactly. Somehow I did get the finance offers at the time of order.

So here’s where I think the “catch“ is with price protection; a quote from Ms Ashlie - “Ford‘s price protection is based on the customer’s order date AND last submitted dora in the order bank”. I read this as if you made a change and your updated (aka new) dora is dated with the price increase then that’s your new price and where your price protection starts.
With my latest dora being before any price changes I expect to be price protected to the original price. If I would have made a change a month ago then I think they wouldn’t price protect me back to the original price.
Not that I agree or disagree, just how I’m reading the statement (and could be wrong about that as well)…
From Ford's point of view, minor changes do not change the price protection date. Only major changes (body code, trim level, powertrain) will.

Price protection is protection for the dealer. The invoice price when ordered is protected (when sold to the retail customer that it was ordered for). Technically the original invoice isn't completely protected....the fuel charge, for example, is not protected.

The protection is given so that the dealer can sell to the customer for the agreed-upon price. But some dealers are obviously not passing this on to the customer. And there are often glitches in the process, and dealers are often not fully reimbursed by Ford. For example, we have $900 in price protection we are owed on an Explorer (and will never get). Rather than just being greedy, some dealers may have been burned by the automated price protection process, so they are reluctant to offer it. Some dealers (or just the salesmen) may not understand the process???

The biggest BS from Horsham is that they didn’t disclose this at first. They had to have known that there were likely to be price increases mid year.

In any even, my Horsham order is not going to schedule. They have said they will honor my under invoice deal on a MY23 but at this point I will not be surprised if you can’t get that and your private offer. Like how is that going to work, I wonder?

Any new allocations/scheduling?

With Long McArthur reporting new hybrid and lux scheduling this week, our charts may change also.

With Chapman/Horsham playing games and not honoring their 3% under invoice and screwing their customers with much higher final MRSP I am so glad I never took the bait and ordered from them.

Their customers got screwed twice: once because of the very large amount of orders from the 3% discount offer which caused the delays in getting scheduled (allocations vs orders) was very real (as seen by those who are still waiting for a scheduled build date) and second because of said delays are now having to pay for the two price increases that Ford has done.

I went local with a medium sized dealer and paid 2% under invoice (wife worked at AutoNation)
Ordered 8/23, Scheduled 9/16, Built 11/29, Shipped 11/30, Delivered 12/13

It doesn’t look good. Just check with Ford Chat. My priority code went from 13 to 12.

I'm not expecting any miracles, my late October order was Priority 15 last time I checked, and there were 10 orders at 14 or better at that time, (and an additional 26 others at 15 with me). But @fordvideoguy reported that he had multiple Hybrid Lux orders schedule this week, after Ford had previously told him both hybrids and Lux packages would no longer be scheduled.

Further, after this week's scheduling (and Ford still hasn't used all his August allocations) all of his September orders are now scheduled, so at least there's a glimmer of hope for the 10 Chapman orders that were at 14 or better (even if they were hybrid and/or Lux).

Hopefully you will get a response from Ashlie today that gives us some more information that gives us a chance of getting scheduled. You and chuckles have done a great job for all of us. Thanks

One thing that could actually be good though about getting rolled over to a 2023 though is if Chapman doesn't honor the price protection, we will still be covered with the private offer. If we get 3% off the new price then theoretically it should be a higher discount off. When you add in the private offer, it should make the price actually cheaper than if we got a 22 model, if that makes any sense.

I bought two and had no problems with my deal. They honored it.

Plenty of others too.

How can or would they know the price would change midyear?

Not a dealer problem but a Ford problem.

Per Ford Chat, I am now down to a priority 14 so slowly getting there. It will be interesting to see what Ashlie says.
