This is me as well. I've got a business to run. Just let me know -- In the end, this is a business transaction. -- Not me. It's just another asset to use to make my business more efficient.
Boy, would I love to be your business competitor! You're happy to place an order with no idea when you'll receive it and be happy about it? What a great attitude! Off the efficiency scale. Sounds like an outside consultant we didn't hire after this jewel he presented! --- "At base level, this just comes down to total strategic contingencies." --- Are you his new employer?

I would like to get at least one more. Your Order is delayed but it will be built in the 22 model year.

I don't like to stress over things I can't control. I can't control my maverick so I would rather just sit back and wait. I'm not in need of a vehicle so there isn't a rush for me.
I have news on my truck. It will be built when its built. As of this writing that's 6+ months from my order date. Getting tons of emails about not getting my truck is not helpful.
Sounds like a really great concept!! I guess you can always control your thoughts so you do not worry about things you can't control. Hope that does not cause stress :).

It's called adapting to reality instead of being a whiny ass crybaby about it. All your getting mad and whining about Ford needs to do this, Ford needs to do that, blah blah blah has done exactly what to get you your truck faster?

Not one goddamn thing?

So you wasted time, energy and emotion for nothing.

Makes perfect sense.

Our Maverick XL EB from Long McArthur is shipped.. but we never got an email about a schedule day - we got the standard schedule week email, nothing else until "built".

So I am not looking for any communication on the hybrid until "built".

Why not a general just a general email: "Currently it takes x months for builds with no constraints, x months for CP360, x months for Lux..... This information will be updated as necessary."
At least you have a general target to keep in mind. I figure my 11/4 order is September, probably a MY23 rollover.

I'm curious but don't have time to read 14 pages of comments.

What are y'all doing now to find out about your build date? Just calling your dealer like I did last week? I know I would be.

For the life of me I don't know why a dealer wouldn't call a customer the second they see a VIN by their order! That would make most customers' day, week, and possibly month. After having to tell me my order WOULDN'T be ready by March...or April...or May, you'd think the salesman would have called me before the ink was dry on the printout with my VIN saying, "YOU'RE SCHEDULED!!!" Who wouldn't want to give that kind of good news? Am I the only one?

Given this thread, I just called Ford Marketing at the 800-334-4375 number, and got answered very quickly. My June 17, 2021 ordered, bare-bones Maverick XL Hybrid with only the trailer hitch option, just got a VIN assigned! Entered it into my ford.com account and while there is no scheduled production date yet, it recognized my VIN and dealer, along with my info. From reading here, nothing happens until a VIN is assigned, so now looking forward to getting a production date. My dealer did not get a lot of Maverick allocations, so looking like the outstanding June orders are finally getting some love. Even gave me the $100 e-gift card, without asking, while on the call. Just let my dealer know, as they had not gotten the VIN assignment info, and thanked me for calling. Must have just been assigned in the last few days.

Finally! Yay! Looking forward to a July-August delivery.

During weekday times, you can also use the Ford Chat app on their support page. It's geared more for SYNC issues and other things like that, but I was able to hop on without a VIN and talk to a rep and find out more info.

Speaking of which, my July 14th XLT Hybrid order finally got scheduled this week as well! I put my VIN in the ford tracker and while it didn't have the production date on the site, it recognized the VIN and worked out ok. Scheduled for the week of 5/16 now!

According to Ford Corp, they abandoned the allocation system at some undisclosed time for customer Maverick orders, but I've yet to contact a dealer who knows about this.

If one receives sub-standard service from a provider that did not supply even jelly and finds that acceptable, then have at it often! Some who allow that behavior to flourish and continue unabated, just didn't pass Business Ethics 101 and often need a bankruptcy attorney after allowing that systemic abuse to damage their operation. Enjoy helping suppliers who perform haphazardly remain in business! It's not like any poorly run American car manufacturers have ceased operation in the last 40 years by ignoring customer feedback. I guess I'll go to the next auto show and look for a new Mercury or a Pontiac!

I just got the call from my dealer. Scheduled for the week of May 23rd. He asked if I saw the email from Ford and all I could do was laugh!
