@Ford Motor Company I feel like you are helping Ford dealers by limiting the amount of information on customer orders. You are hoping many order holders will eventually loose interest and buy a different vehicle allowing dealers to take over the sale of customer retail orders. Please respond if this is not your intention.

I guess I'm at the okay, whatever stage because I have a build date, but I would have preferred this method. I didn't like getting a build week of March 7, then being told it would be moved to April 4, then told it would be March 28, and then March 21.

It would have been nicer to get one email that told me your truck is being built on March 23, which is when it actually went into production.

Your mileage may vary.

I can't wait until I am able to drive the truck. I know I am going to enjoy it.

I suppose I have no choice now...Thanks Ford! 😒
My boss is usually the first to ask each Thursday if I got scheduled, but I am sure she will be happy its not a distraction anymore. 😂
You can tell your boss that the return to work is only temporary because once you get closer to your build date you can then start the tracking checking and watch the progress of your Maverick build! 🤣🤣🤣
Of course until then you can also start shopping for parts to dress out your Maverick! There's plenty to do before the arrival of Maverick! :ROFLMAO:

@Ford Motor Company , please go back to the old way of sending scheduling emails. I have been patient and am now past the 9 month mark since I placed my order on June 25 and to be honest my patience is getting low after seeing so many who have ordered after me with the same build get scheduled. I understand all the constraints, supply shortages but giving us an update on where we are is good customer service. At least each Thursday I have had something to look forward to. Knowing I have a scheduled build date even if it is 6-7 weeks out is better than not knowing at all where I am in the order. Communication overkill is better than silence to make people wonder what is going on and get frustrated.

Remember, the dealers are Ford's customers. We are the dealer's customers.

I suspect Ford upper management most likely feels they are going way above and beyond by telling us anything other than to go ask our dealer for information.

@Ford Motor Company. I hate the new process. Would have preferred a guesstimate of month of completion. Then follow with a build week when scheduled. Last email build date.

Order Confirmation 10/14
Tentative date of build June or July
Scheduled build week 7/1
Build day 7/18.

This example:
You were guessing at first, got a good schedule week, little behind on build date. I wouldnt have been as fruatrated.

Right now I have radio silence with no hope. Ford appears to be out of touch with customers. Ford also appears not to care. General warm fuzzy feeling lost. Feel more defeated than before. Thanks for the quick let down.

So you don't feel like you're a Ford customer at all?

As someone who works in corporate planning and strategy, this is just frankly not a good idea.

With 7-12 month delays on customers getting their orders, adding 4-6 more weeks of radio silence is likely to have more customers walk away from the Ford brand. The minimal frustration of moving build dates pales in comparison to the significant frustration of radio silence. Each week customers don't recieve any information is a risk that is not good for Ford.

I'm not saying the old way was amazing but the cost/benefit ratio of it shakes out much much better when you pay attention to the proper KPI. Trucks are gonna sell, but customers are gonna bail as you decrease the communication.

If Ford is only focusing on Truck sales, y'all need to take a deep look at your company metrics, KPIs and goals.

My $0.02. Last week after not getting THE email I called the help line. Nice guy there looked up my order and gave me my VIN, which I texted to my salesman and he called back with a build week of 5/9. I did enter the information on the spread sheet here , it shows 333 days of waiting, IF I get built on the 9th of May,

So call the helpline and see if your VIN has been issued is the best advise I got for ya.

Kind of a head scratcher here. The only change I see now is I, and others, will now reach out directly to Ford's Customer Service line to see if the order was scheduled. Really confusing approach here, and the only thing I can think of is that their data on all the orders and scheduled is so unpredictable and messy that they can't even report on it.

No more dog in the hunt. But I too prefer the Email process I had:

In my case I did not need to pester the dealer. Supply issues are well discussed on EVERY car and truck forum

My experience to date:

Velocity >Blue, Eco 2.0, Lariat, 360, Lariat Lux, AWD, 4k tow, SIBL, ordered 10/27
Ford welcome and accepted e-mail 10/29
